How about all racials become cosmectic only, and blizzard provide free faction transfer for 24hrs, im pretty horde would wither
I don’t think this will ever happen as it tied to the lore more or less. Sure, there are rooms to wiggle, but some things have become “classic”. Such as, Orc berserk, undead eating corpses etc.

corpses eating has no effect on dps/heal for pve or pvp, so its ok, berserk as to go…
large pool its a byproduct of racials, better dmg racials bough more ppl looking for easier time dpsing, that brough more ppl looking for large pools for replace in cores, action and casuality
If there were free faction changes and racials didn’t matter, I suspect more people would switch to Horde since there are more people to play with.

i know for a fact that there s lot of ally friends at horde stuck cuz of the pool size and the cost to switch, imagine if it was $100 for you guys, not so easy to go back if you regret…i think the pools would even out, ppl would play what they want not what they can pay
I wouldn’t bother faction changing for a 24 hour free special. I’m entirely established on the horde, and I’m not banking on having the masses transfer in hopes that there will be more alliance. I’m on a horde dominate realm - I’m not just going to gamble that it will become an alliance dominated realm (or even perfectly balanced). Unless my guild/friends are going alliance as well, I would for sure not switch.
You could open free faction xfers for a week, and it wouldn’t make the magical difference you’re thinking it would. For people who like the horde for aesthetics and also the healthy population, they wouldn’t risk the chance of xferring to alliance to hopefully see the masses go alliance too.

Pretty sure that would have the opposite effect you think it would.
Alliance racials are pretty good atm. And unless the free transfers were one way, it would probably hurt the Alliance more than help it.
A better solution, although not a real fix, would be to offer the overplayed/over-represented faction 50% off faction changes to the lesser played faction

As a dwarf/nightelf main I like racials as is.

Your best bet would be to make equil counterparts for horde and alliance
Horde blood elves, alliance high elves
Horde red dreani, alliance dreani
Horde saberon, alliance worgen
And so on with the only exception being humans orcs trolls dwarves tauren gnomes and their subrace equivalent as these races are the races that give the factions their identity, everyone else should have a mirror counterpart on each faction
It’s generally agreed that alliance racials are better… so not sure that’s getting at the root of it.
There needs to be a reason. Even if it’s free, it’s effort and time to switch. Why would someone do that if they are happy with where they are at?
Free faction changes would lead to more horde players.

The playerbase is already settled. There’s not much incentive for horde players to switch over even if it was free.
And this is coming from someone that would rather play alliance, mind you.
They just need to expand Merc mode and offer cross-faction options for content.

This would probably make them more money, too, as it would allow folks to play alliance while still playing with their horde friends (assuming cross-faction guilds were allowed).
