Makes sense. Outdated add-ons can cause crash upon login.
If you can’t update the addons in question, you may have to live without them (or find working replacements).

It’s not addons. I have none. This has been happening for months, it’s isolated to this game only, and its happening to a good portion of players. If one more MVP gaslights me into saying that its on my end, I swear. And on top of this, the multi-month silence on this from blizz is deafening. With how much money we as consumers put into this company I am not out of line for saying that they should make the client playable. This is rediculous.
Maybe not for you, but it was for the person Sniperorc was replying to.
What’s the threat here? Suggesting troubleshooting measures is not “gaslighting.” Most people can play timerunning without crashes, so it does not seem to be a Blizzard issue at this time.
Additionally, you can’t fully test for issues originating on your computer without fully resetting the UI per Blizzard’s instructions. If you ever had an addon, it can leave behind files and changes when you remove it.

You want to know what the threat is? I’m not coming back. That’s the threat. And don’t pull the Karen stuff on me. It’s NOT unreasonable to ask for a service to work that you pay a monthly premium to use. not ONE blue communication in more than a month. Best we get is passive aggressive attacks on the users by non corporate mods such as yourself. I’ve been in multiple threads. It always goes the same way. The MVPS attack the user and nothing gets done. I’m quite sorry, but this has been too long and I am DONE being nice. Get me banned or not, I don’t care. It’s ridiculous. It’s plain ridiculous.
And per it not being a blizzard issue? If that were TRUE then there wouldn’t be multiple threads of right at this very moment, dude. Its NOT on my side. And it worked fine before the patch. Blizzard broke something.

I don’t think they’re trying to gaslight you, I think that mods have just been the issue for most of the people that have had this problem. Perhaps you should try submitting a ticket? For me, I disabled MogIt and I’ve been able to log in fairly reliably. You may also want to try repairing your game files if you haven’t already, sometimes things just get corrupted and there’s not really anything we can do about it.

how do I start a ticket? Same issue, since Saturday AM one of my timerunners got stuck in an LFR SoO wing and now every it’s getting rather frustrating. I did manage to get a ticket in on Saturday and they moved him to Orgrimmar which worked after most of the day had gone, I’ve reset interface, scanned and repaired which seemed to work last night. the stuck character service worked once but now all i get is 'World Server Down and this is the fourth time since Saturday AM he’s been stuck. I can’t seem to fins a way now through Blizzard support to start a ticket for it.
Yeah, starting a ticket seems incredibly confusing nowadays honestly. I wish I could help you there, but I know its in the contact support section and sometimes it lets you start one, other times it doesn’t. I wish you luck.

Same thing just happened to me tonight. Can log in any other toon except my 1st alt I created. Funny thing is on my main timerunner I can log in just fine as well as any other toon I have in retail. I tried logging in on another computer but still had problems so that tells me it’s all on Blizz’s side. Maybe some rolling restarts are needed.
Edit: I logged in on her again and instantly hit jump and it froze then jump happened then instantly froze again and it disconnected me pretty quick. Logged back in and it glitched a bit but was able to get out of Shirine of 7 stars and seems to be ok for now…
The issue for me seems to be Handynotes modules - probably the Dragonflight one.
