Been having the same issues as you all, 2019 13” MacBook Pro, however I have a workaround that hopefully helps everyone while we wait for the fix to be patched in. It’s a bit of a headache and takes a couple hours, BUT:
- google windows 10 ISO, download from Microsoft’s site
- run boot camp installer in MacOS
- relegate 100gb partition to windows
- install, you can find more detailed instructions on YouTube, and boot in windows
- download WoW client etc (requires around 67-70gb I think don’t quote on exact, hence just partition 100gb to be safe on earlier step)
- back on your MacOS, do “show in finder” for WoW, and copy to a flash drive the folders “Cache”, “WTF”, and “Interface”
- go back to windows boot and open file location for retail WoW there and paste files from step 6
Boom. Cloned WoW copy with all your addons settings etc running in windows on your MacBook Pro, and as far as I can tell so far fingers crossed no crashes no stutters etc…even better FPS on higher graphics settings! Blizz really does optimize more for windows but that’s understandable
Hopefully this helps other determined players who just want to find any way to play the new patch. It’s pretty good! The horrific visions are solid!
