This patch sucks. The least they could do is provide regular updates.
Super frustrating sitting in discord listening to my raid group prog Heroic and having to sit out.
Trust me, the guys/girls not part of the Dev team can’t stand this issue, they want it fixed just as bad as we do
I’m sure they do but part of that is taking 30 seconds to communicate with us any progress or updates they have.
The dev team is the one who sends them the updates to post, they have no clue on progress until then. Just got done talking to two different game masters
Any updates other than, “we are working on it”?
Unfortunately they couldn’t give me any updates as the dev team hasn’t updated them
That sounds like an unfortunate arrangement for all involved parties.
Did the bug go away for a couple of days for you too? I think Blizz changed something that helped a bunch of us but now it has reverted back to the previous state
Nothing has improved for me, possibly gotten worse, 3rd crash in the past hour, and 20 minutes of that hour have been spent restarting my Mac …

I wouldn’t play this anymore until this got fixed if I were you, specially if your Mac is out of warranty. Better to lose 15$ than a small fortune fixing your Mac.
Blizzard also has plenty of data already, so crashing your Mac (for free) to send logs is a waste.
Yeah, mac cs said it was probably best to stop playing the game until they fix it. Best to just spam the Wow social media accounts until they do something since they have obviously stopped paying attention to the Mac forums.
Please be aware that if you purposely spam their social media accounts (especially the @BlizzardCS twitter account), they’ll mute you to prevent you causing others to potentially not be able to get issues resolved due to a flood of spam. While it is uncommon to be muted, repeated spam does nothing but clog the system up on their end as they have to deal with that many more notifications to sift through.
The squeaky wheel may get the grease, but the beligerent wheel gets a nice slathering of vegetable oil placebo. Do feel free to let them know on socail media how you’re feeling or what issues you’re having, but don’t plaster them with spam.
And they haven’t stopped paying attention here. There’s simply nothing to get back to us with yet. They aren’t sitting on their duffs twiddling their thumbs. But they also aren’t at the office 24 hours a day. They aren’t machines and do need rest and breaks. Unless of course you want them to make even more errors.
I just spoke with a customer support worker. They can’t offer refunds if you’ve spent time playing outdoor content (even if you’ve been locked out of instanced content for the entire time) which sucks, but they promised that the devs are working on some kind of compensation after they have resolved the issue. The worker also said they are diligently working on a fix.
So for some reason it’s worse tonight than it’s ever been for me. I played for most of this afternoon, and it was (mostly) fine, not need for hard reboots. Now though, I’d had to manually restart my computer 3 times in the last 20 minutes because the freezes were so bad (currently in the Vale trying to do dailies. Can’t play for more than 5 minutes in a row if that. Tried rolling a new Vulpera just to test it and no issues of speak of within the last 20 minutes. Not that I was doing dungeons or anything other than killing mobs.
Agreed, 4 crashes tonight, cannot accomplish anything, unless failing visions is the goal. Nothing from Blizzard CS in a week?

I have already been notified that telling others to spam their social media accounts could end up with what you said as well as possible loss of my wow account if I “incite”. That’s fine. What isn’t fine is the fact that they have been aware of this issue for months, had a similar issue in 2017, 2018, and early 2019 in regards to Macs and have said the same thing they have said on this forum thread. They are the ones that have a Mac client for the game. If they don’t know how to run their game on Macs, they should say so instead of responding with high school comp sci regurgitation, saying that they have a fix, and then finally ghosting and not giving any information. This thread was shared on Blizzard CS twitter and taken down by them already. That’s fine.
Today it Has been undoubtedly the worst it’s been. I was in org for less than a minute on my vulpera toon and it froze for a good 10 minutes
My main. And yes I have been trying this entire time to actually play the game check this toons gear
I have never posted on a forum before, but I have to for this exact reason. My Macbook Pro (2015) crashes for 5-10 seconds sporadically then ultimately, crashes completely which requires me to hard boot. Today has been particularly bad around Vale, literally unplayable.
