Crashing, freezing, and stuttering after 8.3 [Intel GPUs]

yeah no sorry this is not good enough, we need the problem fixed not more false promises of “we’re looking into it.”

how do we get our shadowlands pre-order refunded? I just got back into the game 1-2 months ago and pre-ordered shadowlands b/c of how interesting it looked. But I honestly have 0 interest in playing it if this is how a good percentage of your player base is treated. I have a Mac and desktop, forced to play on my Mac d/t moving around, trips, work etc.

reddit is a good venue as well

This is ridiculous. My Mac had minimal issues last week and even earlier today. But now, since you pushed a new update through, I can barely play the game. I d/c in a Vision and now just lost a Vessel because of it.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your game, Blizzard. “…if there are any additional actions that we need to take.” Seriously? Take the action of fixing the game and apologizing for this horrible launch.

Refund us for our gameplay lost. Give us our Vessels back if we D/C in the game because of you. Give us free gameplay for the time that this game hasn’t been working. Actually care as a company, because right now, it feels like you’re just neglecting the issue with minimal manpower put on the problem.

TLDR: FIX IT.

I wanna apologize to the people who was in the dungeon with me earlier. My MacBook gave up. I couldn’t heal you guys.

They are refusing to repay for any game time. Even knowing I have 19 days left of a 30 days sub when THEY broke it. They said I played too much to refund it. Sorry for playing at this point altogether.

This is Blizzards reply:
When checking out through our site, there is a section that discusses our refund policy. That section is titled “Terms of Sale”, which states all sales are final upon purchase.

It’s straight stealing money from us. It’s cheating. The company is dishonest with their reply and solution.

Game is still freezing after hotfix…

I can confirm. Rolling back to DirectX 11 fixed the problem for me.

Wait I thought that’s only for PC windows

It is. But some Windows people are having some of the same problems we’re having. They at least have shown rolling back to DirectX 11 Legacy works (although it does seem to impact their framerate).

Guys, i’ve found a solution! If you set up your graphic quality to 1 and scale the resolution to 427x266, you get rid of freezes completely. At least, it works for me. Haven’t had any freezes or crashes durning BGs or instances. Good luck )
P.s. I don’t really know what is better, to play Pixels of Warcraft or Freezes of Warcraft

You can all try Final Fantasy 14 for free, and play a game where the company cares. When they had issues they refund people. They didn’t try this crap.

I’m sorry, are you joking with this response? Let’s put this down to poor communication strategy, because I sincerely hope you’re not suggesting that confirmation is required that further action is necessary post-‘fix’?

The confirmation already exists in these forum posts alone. It would also exist if you jumped onto one of the multitudinous (and presumably, to a company with your resources, easily accessible) variations of machines reported as experiencing this error, and tried to do something as simple as a WQ.

There needs to be a catch-up implemented for affected users when (if?) this is fixed. Something simple enough to do would be to grant accounts using the Mac client the average % increase in cloak/AP for unaffected users during the Mac Lockout Period (as i’m referring to it).

If the average cloak increase for this Lockout was 3 levels, boost ours by 3 levels. If the average AP gain was, let’s say, 50k, boost us 50k. That way, those few who have been able to play on Mac during this time period will not receive undue benefit, or if they do it will be negligible. The rest of us will be in a position where, progression-wise, we’re not hamstrung (and therefore benched from M+/Raids and perpetually behind the curve) because of your incompetence.

Well luckily I found the refund button for shadowlands, looks like my request is being processed. For those who don’t know, you can open a ticket and request a refund of the amount, now I am trying to have 2 months of my 3 month sub refunded as this game is not longer compatible to Mac. Granted shadowlands isn’t a big chunk of money, anything to hit the company bottom line is what will get attention!

Mine can’t even go that low. Lowest is 480x300 lol

Day 8,

Still unable to play the game. Even on a BRAND new Mac.

Mac OS Version: 10.15.2
System model:
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019)
1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 1536 MB

Symptom: Game freezing and crashing computer randomly

Pixels setup dont works on me! :frowning:

MacOS 10.15.2
MacBook Pro (2016)
2.9ghz dual-core Intel Core i5
8gb ram
Intel Iris Graphics 550

Had been running fine prior to 8.3, and since have been experiencing at least one client crash (client locks up and will not respond, the rest of the system is slow but I can eventually force quit) or kernel panic per login. Figured it would get fixed eventually, but tonight I went into Ny’alotha and experienced 1 kernel panic and 4 client crashes within 45 minutes. It crashed without fail whenever we pulled the boss, and the longest I was able to play was 90 seconds.

The problem continued even with addons disabled, graphics resolution set to the lowest possible setting, and graphics quality set to 1.

Really frustrated. My raid group is down a healer until I can play again.

And Where is the refund button?
