yes, same here.

Okay cool, but we paid for something we can’t even play at the moment, but the company is not going to compensate for that? All the lost visions? All the dailies that couldn’t be done? We’re around to miss out on a new raid and miss out on ranking our cloaks, etc. We paid for a working product, not something that can’t be used. This was happening before the release of the patch on live and no one said or obviously did anything about it, you guys basically said screw the Mac users.

How do we know they were having these issues during PTR or prior to release? I’m curious, I’d believe it but would like to check it out

is it even going to be fixed in the next week

I played it on ptr and had the same exact issues and i’m pretty sure I submitted a report about it too lol

I couldn’t even get past stage 6-7 for halls of origination in ptr due to the freezing issue

There was also an interview done with the lead that he said they had issues and knew about them. He knew there wasn’t time to fix everything so they even canceled 8.3.5 because of all the problems they were having. Also those who played the PTR had the issue and reported it.

Okay got it, makes sense. Ya this entire patch was bungled. It’s really unfortunately for everyone involved

Also, do we know what the 4 hour maintenance window is for tomorrow? I mean I’m guessing it isn’t addressing this issue but if now what else are ya’ll doing?

I just did this and wow, no issues at all. You can do it entirely from boot camp set up on your Mac.

Before you do it, go into utilities and reserve at least 100GB partition for the windows hard drive, as the first time I ran it, only 75GB were created - not enough to download the game and I had to re do it.

Thank you for suggesting this. Definitely a good temporary fix until this issue is sorted out. Only took about 20 minutes to do, and it’s not complicated at all.

This works. I’m playing right now with absolutely no issues.

We should all have AT LEAST on week of game time added for this past week, and probably a whole lot more for all that we are missing/losing, like spots on our raid teams, M+ caches, ranks on our cloaks, even guild members who cannot deal with it… What is this 4 hour maintenance doing tomorrow? Fixing the buggy auction house which should have been left alone? Or transmog bugs? Where are your priorities?

Although it’s a lot of work, you could uninstall WoW on your Mac since it doesn’t work at the moment. That way you’ll free-up the space to download it on your Windows partition. Once there’s a confirmed patch to this bug, you can delete the Windows partition and then download WoW on your Mac again.

Was it crashing your Mac? That was the only thing that was really a significant problem for me that I needed a fix for.

yea in dungeons etc still I got through 1 dungeon okish but then was just the same really when I did a 2nd an crashed

Is the graphics set to DirectX 11 or DirectX 11 (Legacy)? If it’s set to DirectX 12 that’s been causing crashes for PC/Windows users.

yea had graphics set to 11 it worked for an hour or so doing wq etc but im not really struggling there on my Mac anyway did 1 dungeon froze a little then did a 2nd an was just as bad
