Cranky Quarantine Thread

it doesn’t even need to be that complicared.

Anduin: “It was such a relief to find you and yours well Turalyon, can we count on the Vindicaar in the battles to come?”

Turalyon: "You will have the Army of the Light at your back your majesty. I regret however, that the battle against Sargeras and the Legion has all but exhausted the Vindicaar.

Its all we can do to keep it from plummeting to Azeroth."

Honestly that response isnt too bad. They had a specific story/scene in mind and they told it.

At this point, it’s like complaining about the protagonists in a horror movie not calling the cops

The skin mask killer is going to butcher those poor kids regardless.

Does your entire enjoyment of the movie hinge on a 25 second “oh no the phone lines are cut” bit

Or can we just make the 2 foot logical leap ourselves and stomach a minor plot inconsistancy for about an hour

I didnt expect Blizzard to use the Vindicaar in BfA.

I did expect them to have enough respect for their own setting to program two lines of broadcast text explaining why its not used

Blizzard is lazy and Im not sorry for pointing out when their corner cutting leads to gaping plot holes

Hell, since the Alliance is the designated punching bag and Sylvanas burned down a world tree, why stop there? Goblin bombers manage to blow up the damn thing.

Before we knew Void Elves were going to be a thing, I had a theory that Alleria would 100% join the Blood Elves.

She was a staunch defender of Quel’thalas. She was willing to reach into dark powers to fight the good fight - she did with the void what the Blood Elves did with the fel. To me it seemed logical that she’d return home to Quel’thalas. If anything I thought she’d disagree with Vereesa for refusing to stand with her people and take risks. Whereas Turalyon, as former Alliance Supreme Commander (equivalent to High King) was always going to stay Alliance.

I’m not really being cranky - just felt a need to tell you that. I agree, it would’ve been interesting!

Only if the movie’s protagonists spent several minutes onscreen on the phone with their parents reminding them to call 9-11 and that the police can be there in 5 minutes.

The MMO equivalent of this would be having several quests on the Vindicar to unlock the lightforged draenei, one of the allied races that were a major selling point of the expnasion, and who have a racial that is literally calling down a laser from the vindicaar.

Hell, they were telegraphing HARD that Turalyon was going to bite it at some point.

This analogy is bad.

Not really. You’re just chaffed at a cutscene old enough to attend school

Need to learn how to let go every once in a while. Holding anger in this long is going to bite you in the heart

Remember when a single Goblin zeppelin fought off the entire Blue Dragonflight and nuked Theramore due to plot armor?

A peon with a sharp stick could have destroyed the Vindicaar.

Not really but ok.

I’m not sure that we should hold up slasher flicks as examples of writing to emulate.

BFA must have been the most boring expansion in the universe if the only thing were still talking about is nagging inconsistancies in the pre patch

Its not? Where have you been?

People have complained about everything under the sun here.

What a boring take.

Well, thats what we’re talking about right now but we’ve gone through several topics in this “cranky quarantine thread”, was there something making you cranky that you wanted to switch topics to? You’re free to vent here!

Why did the alliance assault zulduzar from a boat when the vindicar exists

oh, I guess we’re in agreement on the topic we wanna discuss after all? Was there some kind of misunderstanding here?

Its not the lack of the Vindicaar thats the problem, its the laziness exhibited by Blizzard not even bothering to program two NPCs talking to each other.

Its yet another check mark against a company that used to take its time to deliver competent content that now %%@&s on a cracker and calls it nutella.

There are a plethora of things that can and do deserve the benefit of the doubt and can come down to the constraints of the medium or what have you.

There are also plenty of things that show Blizzard nonsensically cutting corners because they dont give a s*#^ about the story anymore.
