Still hungry to craft SOMETHING and clicking through the list in the crafting orders menu, saw the Sustaining Alchemist Stone and was like Hmmmm, maybe? Anyone know if it can compete with other trinkets right now, or is this just a bad idea. Vers base and grants like 1k primary stat occasionally as well as increase your phial’s duration (which I would really like)
There’s a site called bloodmallet that you can check out, it sims a bunch of things like trinkets for each spec in 1, 3, 5 target scenarios. The trinket doesn’t seem to be very good for any spec tho

It can’t and it’s a bad idea. Arcane essentially requires an on-use int trinket and not a random “golly I hope it procs during burns” one. You already have incredible trinkets and, short of replacing the vial with Bellafirewhatsitsname, you’re good there. Craft bracers or something.

People are crafting back and bracers or those lower level items that don’t give as much stats as a 489 would because obviously crafted gear is only 486 now. As for embellishments they’re basically all pretty equal these days. Doesn’t matter that much. I crafted azureweave because I’ll mainly doing M+ this season. I feel like a crafted ring with alchemical flavor pocket is always a good choice.

I think in my mind is a wish that I could find some sweet unusual combination of items from unexpected sources that gave me a competitive edge. Some items with effects that when combined with some trinkets no one is running would play off each other and give you some super strong dmg gameplay. My real dream is just crazy good passive trinkets and other gear with special effects that let me play the game without monitoring all the “on use” stuff. I also wish we had a “special effect” coming from each gear slot. Oh and my other dream is a FULL leech set, where leech is the bonus stat on every piece of gear I own, so it’s like 15-20% leech, and see how that plays defensively.
I think I’m just going to craft back piece as you recommend by recrafting my sporecloak to max. This week the shades are unreal killers and getting even 1 extra hit is a big deal.
I wanted that one aswell, but can not stand waiting 4 weeks for a set, I think the INT based ones go a long way in M+, I went lariat since it’s at the point I can get sockets weekly and get free ones on crafts. I use the potion one aswell for M+
Does the set count as one embellishment or 2? I never understood as both pieces have embellish 2 on them, but you

It also doesn’t have “unique equipped” as the other emblishements do ?
Sporecloak is awful now and not worth it.

It’s not good now. You’re better off crafting something with tailor-made (no pun intended) stats.

Yeah the set counts as two embellishments so you can only only run that set. The intellect proc is quite often

Well, I went ahead and crafted to max…it’s not that good, you’re right, but it does help a little on the margins, so I’m still plenty happy with it.
I also recrafted my helm to max (hood of Surging Time) and I still love its effect! Easily one of my favorite craftable pieces.
If you’re enjoying it, that’s all that matters.

Crafted the Sporekeeper’s Baton wand to max today and it is sad that it’s a better defensive than the cloak. Sucks they felt to nerf crafted items so bad. The wand has both an offensive and defensive proc to it. The offensive was definitely a bit lower than Irad staff, so it’s not a great trade off. But now I know
