Whats the point, the new profession system is so broken and ridiculous you will never be crafting more than one or two items at a time anyway. Why would I need and be forced to have a speed boost as the equipment stat.
It makes you craft faster. Just don’t put it on tools if you don’t care about the crafting speed.

No one is “forcing” you to take it. You can use missives to choose your stat. I haven’t used it on my tools but yes have used both the Weaver buff and the crafting speed phial. When you have 20,000 things to transmute or 30,000 bolts to scrap you start looking at crafting speed lol.

Some of the tool have that stat and it cant be changed to something else.
No tool has a locked stat. Accessories have pre-set stats which do not change in weight, and is just a flat boost for the higher ilvl. It takes away nothing by having crafting speed on an accessory.
