Crafting set pieces? how does this work?

When will this release? You just use a normal main set piece of honor or arena gear? and upgrade it to bonus set pieces? ty

Next week afaik, you’re only able to craft one piece a week though . So from what i’ve read on here if you want you can AFK to May 3rd I believe and you will be able to just craft all 4 at the same time.

Ferfinator, you know Google defaults as your homepage on Chrome right? Save yourself a step ya?

Edge is fine though.

Sorry lol
So to craft a set piece, you use a piece of arena gear? i’m assuming head, shoulders, chest, or leggs? ty

You also have to delete any 9.2 PvP trinkets you have to activate it tho :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Here is a detailed article.
TLDR:

  • It opens next week on weekly reset
  • It has limited amount of charges per week (but they should accumulate, so if you skip week(s), you can use unspent charges next week)
  • Base item needs to be season 3 item (from rated PVP, M+ or raid)
  • Upgrading costs Cosmic Flux only, different amount for different items, but about 1k average
  • Items that are upgraded to tier receive secondary stats of corresponding PVE item, so even if you put Haste / Versa item, it will become Crit / Mastery item if the PVE item has them (which is not good, Blizzard fix plz)
  • Items upgraded to tier keep tertiary stats (Speed, Avoidance, Leech, sockets) and feature of increased ilvl in PVP if they were based on PVP items
  • Only 5 item slots (head, shoulders, legs, hands and chest) are counted for the tier set bonus. Many other items can be converted to tier analogues as well, but they provide no set bonus.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much!! But what is a tier analogue?

Tier analogue is the same armor type and slot as usual item. For example, there can be PVP cloth hands and its tier set analogue - tier cloth hands.

You’re saying crafted pvp gear keeps ‘ilvl increase in pvp’ aspect?
Does that mean in the long run mythic+/mythic raid tier gear is not bis pvp, but converted duelist level pvp gear is?

Yes. This has been the case the entire time but people keep bugging about needing to raid. It’s not true

Yeah, that’s right. People who farm out raids for normal-heroic tier or whatever now will eventually fall off (in the next few weeks) to people who exclusively PvP. It’s just annoying that the first month or two of the season starts like this.

Kind of like how people who raid or spam high keys early in the season can scoop up a bit of an ilev advantage, but in this case tier is just a much bigger leap in power.

Oh wow okay, and here i’ve been farming normal and filling up m+ vault >.<
Just gonna relax and pvp only then unless I actually feel like running a weekly m+ for fun.

Yup. Only pve required this patch is 2 world quests a day until revered
