Blizz… I like to Gem Craft but I am really only a PVPer. Is there any other way to get Hydrocores other than running repeated dungeons? If not, could you tie in some other ways to get them? Like winning rateds or rated arenas? Just an idea.
yep they need to make a profession currency that can be gotten more then one way. from WQ’s , PVP, or instances. maybe with a daily limit on how much you can earn? some people hate WQ and could get them the other ways. some hate pvp some hate doing dungeon. one of the biggest issues in recent years is being forced in to content you dont like repeatedly.
I like your suggestion of Rated PvP giving out the cores.
I’ve got a plethora of hydrocores from m+. If I had to do the content to get them why shouldn’t you? You dont even have to do high keys. Sounds like more laziness and asking for handouts to me. If I see some pvp reward I want I dont go asking for it to also be available in PvE, i stuck it up and go kill alliance like a good hordie even though I think PvP has devolved into garbage ever since they introduced arenas in tbc.
That said I wish they would give hydrocores a use outside of crafting. I’ve got tons on this toon but this toon is also my herb/miner.
Because I dont play like you? I am PVP and you are PVE. Who said I shouldn’t have to do anything, you need reading comprehension. You should re-read or unless you are one of those wow posters who likes to hear himself.
Gem crafting has NOTHING to do with PVE or PVP. Its a side skill and as such should be available for both PVPers and PVEers…
The root of you’re complaining is the lack of availability of hydrocores for your jewlcrafting no? Get your butt in some m0s if you want them. Ya know? Play the game? Or continue to cry about the game not catering to your play style. Up to you really.
I am posing an idea for those of us that PVP only and craft as well. Crafting is not tied to PVE or PVP so would be nice if we could get hydrocores doing PVP things as well… I play the game and you obviously have comprehension issues. It’s really not that hard to understand.
He is playing the game. He’s just doing different content from you.
OP, FWIW, I think I’d be in support of a reward of hydrocores included with the weekly PvP cache, or a chance to receive one from rated PvP.
Considering all crafting materials drop in PvE, yes, I would say crafting is tied to PvE.
Because there is nothing wrong with multiple ways of obtaining things. Specially when it comes to crafting mats.
Thats a great idea, I didnt think about the weekly cache.

Considering a significant portion of crafted gear is PvP gear, I would say crafting is tied to PvP.
Lol it’s a shame they took away pvp vendors ain’t it?

/shrug
Don’t really care about that, personally, although I do think currencies are a better system.
Crafted PvP gear has been a thing for a long time though, and there’s no reason professions shouldn’t be accessible for both types of player.
Arguing against that just seems… obnoxious. For no reason.
How about this, I’ll agree with OP if we can get Mark’s of honor at the end of m+ so the game can cater to me and I can get my bonus rolls even easier. And it IS accessible. Very very easily as a matter of fact. If you cant be arsed to do m0 or even worse, if you fail at m0, then you have far bigger problems than any kind of crafting issue lol.

What are you even talking about lol… No one said it was hard, no one said anyone was failing at it. You are making things up now. I proposed it for those of us who do not PVE, why you are getting your panties in a bunch over that is beyond me.
You’re complaining about a crafting mat not being in the content that you play when that particular mat is beyond easy to obtain. And instead of simply getting said mat you opted to come to the forums and suggest a half baked idea to try and work around having to get them how everyone else does. You could have had 2 or 3 hydrocores by now, hell probably more.
I also see that you’ve timed a +5 and are an LFR hero, you should have zero problems obtaining hydrocores without asking for loopholes/catering.

No one complained… Where did I once complain? I made a suggestion. Also, no one said it wasn’t easy its just not what I play, I am PVP only. But I also like to craft. I don’t think you understand what you post or you just like to argue…
You seem like the only one who doesn’t think its at least worth a look into. Are you a tween? I am really am asking…
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you’re not complaining (even though I’m pretty sure passively, you are). You’re still suggesting to get PvE materials in PvP (I dont care for what purpose as it doesn’t matter). God forbid you have to do something other than PvP to get a handful of ludicrously easy mats to obtain. So I’ll ask again, why do you think you should get materials found only in PvE content in PvP other than “I only pvp” because that is a crap answer. Get some pep in your step, and go earn your stuff.

And yet there are crafting recipes tied to PvP… ![]()
