Crafting orders "ignore" implementation

Can you make it so that ignoring a player from one of my characters applies across all of my characters and all of their professions?

For context, on my server there’s a player who has for weeks been putting up numerous scam orders across multiple professions. They are all for items that do not bind on pickup and require expensive reagents. No mats are provided and the tip is very low. The intent is clearly to get crafters to make them basically free stuff and sell it on the AH.

It’s not a case of ignorance of the system since it’s been some time and obviously effort has been spent on targeting the priciest items and submitting order after order (I’ve seen this for multiple weeks across LW, Tailoring, Alchemy, 5-20 orders in each profession at a time). It’s also not a valuable addition to the market since the crafter cannot possibly benefit in any way (the recipes don’t require soulbound reagents and don’t provide any other mats, so if you’re after the KP then there’s no difference between crafting it for an order vs. for yourself - and the latter you can use it for reagents or keep the AH profits to yourself; the only conceivable benefit would be for weekly quest, but most crafters are used to using alt-created orders at this point, and I don’t think anyone would feel good about essentially paying someone else to complete a quest).

On a personal note, going from excitement for professions revamp and being able to sink my teeth in to something more substantial in terms of gameplay… to disappointment tinged with a glimmer of hope that the only 2 public orders I saw within a week of frequent checking were things I couldn’t yet craft… to absolute pessimism to see week after week of “no orders found” after I’d really put in a lot of time and energy… to excitement again for seeing some life in the economy… to frustration/dismay at the actual state of said economy. It’s just rough at this point to log on to another character to work on their professions, check for orders out of habit, get my hopes up, and have them crashing down again.

I imagine there’s lots that can be done to iterate and improve, but for now at least make it so that if I ignore someone I never have to see them again, regardless of what character or profession I’m playing.

PS Yes I know there are addons that can help, but I prefer not to have to use addons. I feel the game should be able to stand on its own, and I’ve had so many issues of my UI bugging out mid-instance due to addon failures despite of being on top of my updates.

I would like Blizz to do one better.

Have a system where if enough crafters put a player on ignore, they are blocked from using the crafting system for a set period of time on their entire account. Perhaps a week to start, and increases from there.

The way it is now, it’s way too easy for these scammers to prey on inexperienced crafters desperate for a skillup and take thousands of gold worth of mats, only to resell what they get at the auction house.

And yes, a system like this can be exploited…but it’s no worse than the gold goblins out there ruining professions for those of us who love that part of the game.

They need add a filter for “all materials provided”.

90% of the orders now are bait orders. It is very obvious what these players are doing.

No materials for something you can put on AH. Or they omit the expensive materials and provide “some” of the cheap materials.

This was the dumbest change I think they have ever added to the game. It was incredibly obvious to everyone what would happen.

I agree.

The issue of people abusing the crafting system is rather disappointing.

I think it is very smart to implement a filter to the crafting system that filters out obvious scam orders.

Or failing that - vastly increasing the amount of players than can be ignored on the ignore list.

this would be awesome
