I’ve been spamming “LF JC to craft Idol of the Earth-Warder 415+” for two weeks now wondering if there’s anyone on the my small server that can even make it!!! Why the FK cant you just place a public order with quality as a choice… Do the people creating the content even play the game? As fun as it is to sitting chat spamming the same crap over and again I would much rather play the game… Or just say fk this sht and play something else. If they could just allow us to chose quality as a public order choice we can actually do something productive with our game time.

What are public crafting orders?
Having a minimum quality on public orders is a great idea. Or at least offer a 30 day refund if the quality isn’t up to your standards (haha)
public crafting order currently is where you spend days grinding all the mats only to get a low quality shtty item for all your work.
It seems so obvious to have this feature. Why go to the trouble of getting all top grade reagents, just to be able to get duped into a low lvl item? I at first thought it had to be an oversight, and even thought my UI was goofing up at first, because I couldn’t find the quality button on the public market.
It makes no sense not to be able to protect the customer in some way. I have also been LF JC for a gem for over 2 weeks now. So it’s not like we have a choice much when it comes to quality control.

I think the thought is obvious as well actually. It’s meant to make the game feel more like a community instead of a interface system. To get people to interact with each other more/make friends.
Agree or disagree… but it makes sense to me.
I can understand that clueless Blizz wanted this to push the social part of the game, but the reality is they make 1 item for you that you will never need again and that’s the last time you ever talk to them.

It’s gonna be a thing in 10.0.7 I think. They’re gonna let orders without having all the mats which seems weird
It is so Obvious Thomacles that this should be a feature. It’s mind boggling that Blizz is so out of touch to not have put this in by now.

I can see Blizz more concerned about a word than their broken Craft order system. There are so many choices for games out there that they should at least try to fix this obviously broken systems in the game. Hogwarts Legacy looks amazing and The Last of Us is coming out soon for the PC (Love the show btw) mb its time to look at quality game time over quantity. I do really like Dragonflight it just sucks spending my time playing a chat spamming simulator with no response instead of playing the game.
I’m on a dead server. It’s why I am wearing 0 crafted items. Too much hassle to try to find a crafter who can make a level you would want.
Yeah, something needs to be done. Not sure what, though. I still have the “Do 3 crafting orders” quest. I’ve simply never seen one, period. Not one, since launch.
Probably a lot of people here are customers not crafters themselves and don’t know what it takes to make a 418 item 5 star.
The proper solution to public work orders is a tiered payouts set by the customer for minimum quality. If the customer wants a 3-4 star job they game should payout the crafter a small portion of the tip listed. But for the public crafter to earn the big tip payout for 5 star they gotta make the item 5 star.
If you’re not a crafter at all, please understand that making items is a RNG dice roll for inspiration procs. What you as a customer provide is not enough to fuel the 2-4 reroll attempts needed to get the quality you want. There is no crafter in the game that can make 418 5 stars right now without relying on inspiration proc rerolls. The rerolls cost the crafter resources every time they try to hit that 5 star proc.

I am going to be honest, but I made somewhat friends with my local LW and JC. It was more than one occasion.
Is it worth the inconvenience? I don’t know, but i don’t think you are making a fair representation.
But I get it, if all you are about is the gold and the exchange, than yeah, you aren’t going to make any worth while social interactions.

The crafting system just plain sucks. Sorry you all that play on low pop servers keep learning the lesson–Do not roll on low pop servers in any game you play, no excuse such as low fps or lag etc will matter when you get stuck with no people to play with.
Phantomstout It’s not all about the gold and the exchange. I play with friends daily while hanging out in Discord. Were trying to push higher keys and I need gear crafted so I can do my part to help us get through that harder content. Like most people that play this game my worthwhile social interactions are with my friends and guildies and not some random stranger that’s filling a craft order.

You realize, a lot of us didn’t right? I leveled on Bloodhoof in WOTLK when it was VERY alive and active with a healthy population. WHAT I WONT DO is pay Blizzard real $ to move my 16 characters tied to Bloodhoof/Duskwood. I didn’t create the problem, and I refuse to spend $ to fix the problem.
The game needs to merge more servers, period, or make EVERYTHING including things like crafting orders to be region wide.
Its not the end of the world to not have 5 star. Your public order is probably coming back 4 star. Its 3 ilevels.
Recrafts are very cheap, you can upgrade it later.
