And all that just to avoid any social interaction, even it is just “hi, can you craft me x item”?
Look I just wanna put this out there, and I know it would dump gold into the economy… but the only reason I suggest it is that with the 800g WQs they really don’t seem to care.
How about just duping orders? If there are really more crafters wanting orders than people wanting items, just dupe the orders because clearly something is already unbalanced. And then, to make people happy, if at least one crafter filled it with max quality, then that’s what the customer gets.
Mettle and Knowledge points are awful. I was against it since DF and would get flamed that “it isn’t that bad.” Yet here we are, it is in fact that bad, and even worse. Good like managing every profession for every expansion that has this very bad design.
It’s not to avoid social interaction lmao. It’s a waste of time. If talking to someone for less than a minute has enough social value to justify this system to you, go outside.
Well, entire game is waste of time.
What is the difference where you do kill pixel boss or develop pixel profession and craft pixel item?
Besides, that one minute of conversation might make a difference with feeling whether it is singleplayer game or mmo.
Wouldn’t say they were universally worthless they were just only really useful for the crafter. All of the good stuff was still BoP but there wasn’t an order system at all.
As it stands my professions are still only useful to me since I’m not spamming trade to get tips. But now they take much more effort, reading, and time to level up.
At least this time there’s a catch up mechanics. Starting late or taking a break meant you were behind everybody else for a long long while.
I am in the really not liking crafting camp.
As someone who started the army of alts so I could craft things for myself, the DF changes were okay except for the ton of junk filling up bags with all the levels of things.
Never maxed out any profession in knowledge, though my gatherers come close.
Gathering maxed skill and alchemy and that was it, I lost interest but kept gathering for the weekly quests.
My tailor is stuck at level 50ish skill wise and other than darkmoon, dont really see a way forward since all the items require that blue stuff, whatever it’s called, that was yellow in DF and I still have useless stacks of in my bank.
I hadn’t made anything useful other than bags and starter gear for alts and some basic profession gear.
Latest system is too convoluted, too confusing and feels out of reach and entirely not satisfying or fun.
It’s confusing for a returning player.
I’d love to learn and wish I could do this in-game. Instead I watched many YouTube videos (who also gave bad advice) and read Professiona guides but I’m still at a loss.
Made so many wrong tree decisions that I can’t undo. So gave up until next xpac.
I won’t didagree it can be confuaing, but it is more explained than plenty of things in the game including basically everything eelated to Mythic plus dungeons
The new system is so ridiculously complicated for such a side aspect of the game. That it’s going to take nearly a half year to finish them is stupid. I have a bunch of professions going and I’m already burnt out. It has cost me millions of gold just todo the daily work orders. While I’m starting to make some gold back or just break even, the initial investment was huge and the pay off is still months away. I mean if I really micromanaged it I’m sure I could be making more gold, but it just takes a ton of time.
Also, let me swap points around in the professions. I messed up on a couple of them and now I’m stuck for awhile.
It was similar in DF.
You might master everything by the end of season 1 and think “too late” but when season 2 starts you’ll still be maxed out and able yo male R5 things when the next season starts.
Alright, thanks, I’ll keep that in mind.
No thanks. The new profession system actually gives professions longevity and a reason to invest in consumables outside of Flasks.
Once I get a steady supply of Null Stones, I can start cranking out T3 Whet and Weightstones, which are one of the–if not the best–consumables outside of Flasks.
one post wonders are usually not much better than bots - they are someone’s alts they are trying to make it seem like there is more support than there is.
I really hope they don’t dub it down.
There is a learning curve, but if you push past that its a fun mini game.
they have 2707 posts - the last two have one post.
It doesn’t matter.
I’m still waiting for the fun. Been doing this since Dragon Flight, When does the fun begin?
It’s probably not fun for everyone, but I’m not going to pretend I don’t like it, and have fun. It’s also really cool when you want to gear alts, because you can do a personal work order for an alt.
