i just unlocked the 230 Crafter’s Mark to find out that i cant use it on Weapons, why Blizzard!? you said you were gonna make Professions viable again, you half-assed it with your promise and yeah i’m being blunt about it. why are you choking us when it comes to the Weapons? cause it’s 4 item levels higher than Tazavesh gear?? big friggin’ whoop, let us make Weapons for our alts instead of having to force a M0 Nath run or have god luck to acquire a weapon via Korthia Armaments! my Unholy DK is currently wielding his Weapon gift from finishing the 9.0 Campaign, which is a mere 184! let us Twink and stop throttling us, you’re only encouraging Boosting by doing this, which is way BAD for WoW.
Just discovered this. Will only work on blue pieces. Sucks. Oh well.
EDIT: Now that I went ahead and made some of these, gotta say - so, making one of these marks is kind of expensive, not to mention getting to Tier 4 isn’t exactly super quick. so why make it unique-equipped, if it was gonna be limited to just rare quality recipes to start?
We haven’t been able to use any of the crafter’s mark upgrades on weapons, not just that one 
I agree it’s silly.
I’m angry because I’m engineering. So we get a weapon which obviously we can’t use. OR we can put them on our goggles, which as a mythic raider does nothing for me considering that’s a domination socket. To make it worse, both the goggles AND crafters mark are BoP. So it’s not like I can send them to my alt that desperately needs gear OR sell it on the auction house. It’s just a waste of crafting materials and the gold I spent to make them (granted I should’ve double checked but this shouldn’t even be a thing in the first place).
If the crafters mark recipe was BoA this would fix the issue imo. But now in order to gear my alts I have to grind this rep all over again just for a single piece of 230 gear.
My main is an engineer but thankfully the helm is useful for the time being. I agree it is not as useful overall, though. I did notice that socket rep will be account wide, I’m really hoping the rep for crafting recipes will also be made account wide for archivists and death’s advance.
