So this new alt Pally just recently hit 60 but I’ve been struggling hard to get a weapon to replace my 163 BoE. I’ve done all my LFRs, opened 10+ Korthian Armaments, even resorted to spamming Heroic Mists to just do the first boss over and over to try and get something. Got 3 helms though.

You should get a 187 weapon for finishing your covenant campaign, plus it’s highly likely that you’ll get an upgradable 200 from Korthia dailies. As your renown rises, the item level from world quests increase, and weapons regularly show up. Same as with your mission table.
One -handier are hard to get my suggestion is to farm beast of bastion which will drop a 210 mace.
You gotta do your campaign quests and your korthia dailies. I got tons of weapons doing this. Korthia drops a weapon quest almost every week.
I would do a few BGs and buy one.
The epic BGs aren’t bad even super undergeared. They feel like a PvE encounter a lot of times.
I mean that would be nice and make professions worthwhile. So no how dare you suggest this.

Maybe I’m wrong, but as long as you have the rep, why can’t you buy the crafter’s mark 3 and make an ilvl 200 weapon? or do those only work on armor (I’m an alchemist so I don’t really make gear)
Blizzard hasn’t done anything with crafting that makes it worth bothering with.
Honestly I think they have the absolute worst crafting professions of any game that I play, the only reason I haven’t dropped leather working on my main is because I have a few patterns that are no longer available in game.
It is possible to craft a 230 blue if you can farm up enough relics and ranks with the korthia archivist.
Crafters marks 2,3,4 are incompatible with blacksmith weapons
Check your daily WQ’s, typically a weapon hanging in there every day or two.
Grab the Regional Treasure boxes - I always end up getting 1-2 weapons in maldraxxus weird fungus loot.
Korthia will usually have a weapon up 1-2 times per week.
PVP - Get honor weapon, upgrade.
PVP - Get conquest weapon.
Find a dungeon that drops the weapon that suits your class, run it… alot. I mean alot and you might get it eventually… though after 30+ tries for DoS and the Scale has never dropped. it could be awhile.
The SL crafting system works differently not all items are equal.
Items with a sub level 60 requirement are only eligible for crafters mark 1 (upgrades ilvl to 117 and level required to 60) the weapons for Blacksmithing fall in this category as well as the first armor set.
Only the base level 60 recipes (armor and jewelery but not weapons) allow crafters marks 2-4 to work.
I think he was referring to chain isle which is 230 but not sure because I haven’t reach that high yet on blacksmithing.
Should be able to make the 230 version as well.
You can craft higher weapons just rep gated venari all that stuff korthia drops them rares and quests.
That’s how I did it on a couple toons. Spam some bg’s, and you can have it upgraded to 197 pretty quick. A lot more fun, than going to Kordiarrhea everyday hoping the rng gods are in your favor lol.
Agree. They created legendary gear…except for weapons. No weapons at high level are allowed to be made for some reason known only to them.
Why not let the other crafting professions make legendary weapons?
