If one puts all max level reagents for crafting and get 645 gear is crap. Makes me sick and not wanting to play anymore if I can’t get crafted gear that’s an upgrade because some low level crafter makes it. I see why I haven’t had things crafted until now. Yes, I’ve been playing for 20 years. This needs to be changed , I just do PVE because of nerve damage. All of the people in the guild have left and I’m the last survivor.
That’s the problem with public orders.
Someone the other day on our server put in a public crafting order with an Enchanted Runed Crest… and rank two mats. With a 200g tip.
That would require crafting it with concentration and then recrafting it with even more concentration just to get it to 658.
For 200g.
I think they need to allow us to specify the rank we want for a public order, but it also needs to require all mats at an appropriate rank for a first craft to hit those results.
If someone doesn’t specify a rank in a public order, then they can provide whatever rank mats they want.
Why didn’t you ask in trade chat /2 and find someone that could make what you wanted?
In Personal orders you get to set the quality level.
If the crafter can’t make it at that level; it won’t let them make it at a lower level.
Then after a few minutes, 30 I think, it just mails you back all your mats and any tip you may have included.
Honestly, I’ve never understood the argument that the public work order system shouldn’t have quality rank restrictions because “eVeRbOdY wOuLd OnLy SeLeCt MaX rAnK”. None of that makes any logical sense to anyone who has even a passing understanding of basic economics.
If somebody is stupid enough to require a rank 5 craft 3 weeks into an expac, then that’s on them. And towards the end of an expac it’s equally nonsensical since new crafters needing low rank orders can still get them since that’s exactly what NPC orders are for.
They should either put quality on public orders or ditch the public order system entirely.
I’m happy to engage with a crafter to have something done, but Trade Chat is a terrible way to manage it. Give us an interface for advertising our services and for discovering crafters.
Exactly! At the beginning of an expansion, no one can craft it and they’ll just get their mats returned. And later on, people will be competing for public orders just like they compete for trade chat orders.
Public orders are pretty much dead without the ability to specify a rank. And I think requiring all mats at the appropriate rank for a first craft to hit that rank is the way to do it.
And Patron orders do solve everything else.
Y’all do not see the genius of Bliz at work, blinded by materials, recipes and tips. Oh, my.
The Horde Vs. Alliance war is coming to a close and we’re entering the Trade Warcrafting Wars of World of Warcraft- It’s going to be epic. I cannot wait to start burning down crops and poisoning the water supplies of my rival crafters.
It’s so stupid that we can’t specify ranks. I had to completely abandon any notion of being able to get epic quality profession tools since my server is dead and nobody can make them whenever I try to ask. At least if I could specify minimum rank in the public order system, I could perhaps cast a wide enough net to get that rare someone’s attention.
But as it stands, I’m stuck with green AH quality since the AH allows exactly what a minimum rank quality public work order system would allow. I.e. a long term signposted purchase order that casts a wide enough net to capture the attention of the rarely seen “other player” on a dead server.
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone use my trade chat since SL.
Use the trade channel. We are limited to how many public workorders we can do to deter bots.
Just ask in /2. You could have done it faster than typing this post and mats are dirt cheap.
I highly doubt this. No server is that dead. Lying to make your post count higher is cringeworthy.
The crafting system is awesome and very easy to use. If you can’t figure it out by now MMORPG’s are not y our cup of tea.
Doubt all you want. Still doesn’t change the reality.
The only reality here is that you are lying. Good day.
Yeah some really are that dead. It’s rare to ever see a request for crafting on my server and most of the time, no one answers or is able to fill them.
Gear items eventually get crafted. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone be able to craft the epic profession equipment.
And you’re just trolling. Good day.
Imagine being so self absorbed that you can’t even fathom how seriously bad it is that blizz could shut down a half a dozen servers tomorrow and hardly anyone would notice.
At the end of the day, you can huff all the copium you want. But SL permanently damaged this game and it has never recovered.
