Crafted gear item level should be the same as myth track gear

Back in Dragonflight season two, our crafted gear maxed out at 447 ilvl. This was the same ilvl as max myth track gear.

It felt a lot better to make crafted gear in this season because your character was not penalised by three ilvl

Additionally, it was much easier to reach your desired stat distribution because the crafted gear had more item level and, therefore, more stats.

Thank you all very much for reading, I hope you all have a lovely day

And that was a wrong move.

No, MAX ilvl should always be rewarded by higher difficulty content. like in ANY game.

Huh? It still applies, you can craft with your desired secondaries.

If anything, I’d propose that crafted gear should be one notch down of its current 675 ilvl
(down to 672) while max Mythic is 678.

No thanks.

Crafted gear is supposed to be our bad luck protection.

The purpose of Bad luck protection is to be compensated for not receiving the gear you desire due to nothing but bad luck.

The bad luck protection for Fyralath gave people the ability to acquire the same legendary axe as everyone else who got it the first time.

Crafted gear bad luck protection should work the same way: you get the same ilvl that you would have gotten if you weren’t unlucky with drops.

It’s not as if people who needed the bad luck protection to obtain Fyralath received the legendary with three ilvl less

Explain +19 keys giving heroic raid level gear.

No. You have no idea how easy it is to get champion/hero track gear.

Keep myth track gear where it belongs.

That is a very good point and I would propose that mythic plus starts to drop myth track gear as well

I’m actually tired of hearing this
Doing stuff solo if I screw up I have nobody to pull my bacon out of the frying pan

Is this because someone rolled higher than you for xmog purposes? The ultimate way to beat “bad luck” is literally just playing the game.

If crafted gear is truly meant to be bad luck protection then we should be able to craft it to the season’s maximum ilvl.

Being three ilvl lower isn’t true bad luck protection - it is not compensation for being unlucky in vault because you are not able to obtain the gear you should have received in your vault.

For the 2 embellishment pieces they should. Everything else shouldn’t.

No, it’s because I fill my vault every week on multiple characters with mythic plus 10s and receive nothing useful in my vault.

So my only option to upgrade my gear is to make crafted items

I don’t even really play the “item level” game. I do the content I want to do, mostly delves and follower dungeons, I get the gear from that content, and I’m happy. But this really seems like a bad idea… what would be the point of doing all those mythics to get mythic level gear if you could just go to the auction house, buy a bunch of materials, and have someone make it for you?

I fill my vault every week on multiple characters with mythic plus 10s to get myth track gear and receive nothing useful in the vault.

Mainly I get bad rings and bad trinkets that are dps downgrades from my current trinkets that are 665.

Crafted gear is my only option to upgrade my characters ilvl is crafted gear but it can’t go higher than 675, so I’m missing out on a significant amount of stamina, main stat and secondaries because I haven’t received any useful myth track pieces from my vault.

3ilvl… You really think at such a high ilvl 3 more is going to impact your damage that much? That’s (at best) 25 to each of those 2 secondaries. Better Gem distribution will offer bigger gains. Weapon grease is much bigger gains, flask makes those 3ilvl irrelevant. But, more important than any of those things, the correct rotation is what’s going to make your damage better. Responding to proc’s that buff the next attack then using the right next attack for example.

3ilvl isn’t going to make or break your numbers at that point, your skill and knowledge of your class is. Remember a lot of Liquid and Echo raiders were still wearing some season 1 gear when they took Mythic Gally down. More than proving skill and knowledge of your class makes better gains than ilvl

So full max mythic track item level every other week for doing 7s lol?

Crafter gear is already insanely powerful.

Congrats. You have myth track gear. So I really have no idea what you’re complaining about.

I wouldn’t care if m0 dropped a token tradable for a full set of season BiS on day 1 of prepatch.

You only going to get to enjoy it for a few months at best anyway.

Mythic plus scales infinitely, losing out on extra stamina from those three ilvl can make or break a key if I don’t have enough hp to not be one shot by mechanics in high keys.

The mythic raid is irrelevant, I don’t mythic raid. I never will. It is not enjoyable
