6 hours of play yesterday, 5 hours today and no drops countless mob kills and no shards. Please increase drop levels even a little so we may get access to this mount before the dam game ends.

I don’t think I’ve had a shard drop for me since week three. It almost feels like they turned on the anniversary event and turned off the shards.

I have found 2 shards since the expansion launched, granted I haven’t been specifically farming them, but I have done quite a bit of stuff in isle of dorn.
I have farmed hides for about 3-4 hours a week, sometimes a bit more, every week, since the launch of TWW and I’m up-to 4 now.
This is just for information gathering and reference material purposes 
I have gotten some leveling alts in that zone.
Would love it if the drop-rate was increased for the Crackling Shards. Still have yet to loot any in the Isle of Dorn. I tried farming for them when I was farming for the bee mount and none dropped from that either.
Given up pretty much at this point due to the extremely low drop chance from what I can see.

Just FYI for y’all, I’m 99.9% sure they only drop from mobs in the Isle of Dorn.
Best bet? Grab your skinner, join a pre-made Bee/Wolf farming group, and kill 3 birds with one stone (chance at Shards, Skinning Weekly drops, leather and chitin to use/sell).
They only drop from isle of dawn and put sode of rares nearly never drop… unless you are aoe farming bees just kill rares then reset for a day.
Its a over an expansion mount not a grind in a day mount.
I have also had bad luck, only three. I believe it’s inevitable they will change the drop rate nearer Midnight in a more traditional fire sale season. This is just S1.
Addendum: doing group Bee/Wolf farming every week to get my Skinning drops is how I got the 10 required Shards on my DH.
Just so you know, only the person with the shield-popping orb gets the Mount as a drop, if you kill it while in a party.

I’m up to 9 just doing my weekly quota of skinning crabs and doing other assorted tasks around the island.
Any moment now I could be done … or it might be a month … but it looks like I’ll get there.
edit: the moment came only a few hours after my post while doing some more skinning of non-elite mobs (4th shard that dropped for me as a side effect of routine gathering this week); vessel created, rare tagged, mount acquired!

What are you farming? I just got another one this week killing the beach crabs in dorn.
I am up to 6 now. I just fly around waiting for rares and kill them. I used to do the bee/wolf farm until I got the mount and only had 1 drop from them in all the 999 items I farmed from thousands upon thousands of kills. But doing the rares on 4 toons daily seems to be much more lucrative, so to speak.

i played for about three hours and got nine shards the other day.
i was farming the elite bees and elite wolves.
I am happy for you. It was bees and wolves that I was farming as well. Ima try beach crabs next lol.

Bees and nerubians had their droprate ruined because the logical approach of farming 2 things at the same time is completely unacceptable to Blizz.
No, you aren’t allowed to have high mob density to farm them anywhere else either.
This or your Siegbarg grind - I got all my shards before I was done with Siegbarg. Granted I got two leveling, and this was week 2-3 of xpac.
I have gotten 2 so far. I don’t grind mobs, but I’ll do the WQ’s that’s up. I need a 5th 80 anyhow, so I’ll probably use that one to just grind mobs.
