Title, in battlegrounds doing any damage at all is suppose to stop someone from capping the flag. However crackling jade lightning does not.
Damage over time effects don’t stop objective capturing. Channeled spells are effectively damage over time abilities.
If this is the reason, it’s a very bad reason. I get why dots don’t interrupt but if you are actively using an ability on someone it should 100% interrupt the capture.
yea…pretty dumb. I was just playing a game, put my port on the flag ran away. Rogue tried to smokebomb cap I dropped RoP on it then just kept tagging him with crackling while typing INC so someone could come help didn’t stop his flag recap. guess I should have not bothered calling for help and just ran in to punch him and get blinded and capped on.

yea…I could have used xuen or images but why burn a 2min CD when I can just actively press a dmg ability from 30yrds away with the stealth eye right next to me and keep him tagged for another 5sec til the base becomes locked? Obv I would have, had I known that actively pressing a dmg ability on a player wouldn’t spin. Not only is it channeled but it also consumes energy while channeling unlike caster channels. Just saying its a dumb design likely an oversight.
