So, you’ve read the title, that’s really all there is to it.
Purchased “Glyph of Cracked Ice” for my Death knight, which claims to make path of frost look more “cracked”. I’ve looked up video of the Glyph working, and it’s awesome, great for the character I’m planning to main in Shadowlands, but after applying the Glyph to my spell book, my path of frost spell is unchanged in anyway.
This has got to be a bug.
(There are many people experiencing this issue, I would love if it didn’t go ignored please!)
PS. I submitted a ticket, thinking it may be an issue only I am having, to receive an automated response, about how I won’t be receiving help, and to come here instead. My experience with the forums has been… well not great, I’d love if it I could get any form of response or update about this glyph, or if it is even known to be an issue, thank you.
I can confirm Im experiencing the same thing on my DK.
Bought the glyph and used it on my Blood spec, it showed that it was applied on the tooltip, but the actual visual didn’t change at all.
I can confirm this as well. Has to be a pre patch bug. I had the glyph before the pre patch and it looked just as it should, cracked ice. As soon as the pre patch dropped, I noticed it just looks like normal path of frost again. I know the team at blizz is very busy trying to get shadowlands ready and fixing bugs in the pre patch that are actually effecting gameplay, but it would be nice to get a blue response on here to at least get confirmation that they know about the issue. It is an awesome glyph and would really love to see it fixed at some point.
I couldn’t agree more, I know they’re busy. I just started a DK after years of WoW and never really trying one, for Shadowlands. Im playing Frost, and am sort of focused on RP with my guild. The cracked ice glyph seemed so cool! but with it just not working, I wonder how many new players will notice. Im thinking we will see a flux of DK players, if anything.
Will also confirm this is broken for me as well since Pre-patch. Tried it in all specs both horde and alliance. Does not appear different anymore and is the base looking graphic like you do not have the glyph.
