Covid is NOT over

I got the alpha version back when it was pretty new. Then only reason I even knew I had it was because wife couldn’t smell her lotion. I got paid time off, watched Netflix and built a storage building out back. It was nothing then and probably less now unless your elderly, obese or sickly.

Want to get sick less? Take better care of your bodies

True, if they are big enough. But wolves hunt in packs which is what makes them dangerous.

I don’t think it’s dropped quite that much yet, but yeah, that does seem to be the directions its trending. More contagious, less deadly.

I would be more scared of a cougar or tiger :frowning:

Please, don’t lower yourself to their status. I tend to think of you as the voice of reason here :joy:

Stay alive.

historically speaking, the timeline matches the pattern of every illness that became widespread, including pre-vaccine era illnesses. deadly diseases become milder over time simply because the deadly strains weed their selves out of existence.

Are you the brown bear and I’m the white? It looks like you’re squeezing too hard.

I had it this summer. It was nbd for me. I was kinda tired for like 12 hours then back to normal.

My Government hasn’t tried to sell us the ‘Covid is over’ lie. It’s definitely not over, and it’s mutating.

We’re having a nasty wave here in Australia again.

I have Long Covid, and NEVER want to get Covid again; it’s terrible.

I’m so sorry. I’ve been unwell from Covid since February, it’s debilitating. I’m managing two days work a week, but need three to recover from them.

My son has to defer school for a year because of Long Covid; he has fluctuating blood pressure, (very low to low) fainting, fast and slow pulse, as well as exhaustion, headaches and breathlessness. I’m so upset for him, he’s a very smart kid and this has put his future on hold.

Just visited last month. Basically masked up 24/7 whenever not in hotel room. Kinda hated it because I kept getting light headed.

Back home we have like zero restrictions or rules atm and for quite a while because the numbers are super low.

I’m on my 4th jab and still haven’t caught it. I like to joke that I’m immune because my wife caught it and failed to pass it on.

Cause I’m a Guardian Druid :bear:

It appears I started quite the furball; guess that’s not surprising for GD.

Thankfully the mods restored my OP, thank you mods.

I personally have always been of the opinion that the vaccine was never any kind of guarantee of not getting sick; moreso an aid to preventing severe illness; an aid to not ending up in the hospital and dying if/when we DO get sick.

People are different. some are fortunate enough to suffer little or no effects, while others die or are scarred for life.

I can only relate my personal experience; as I said I had an un-vaccinated close friend catch it and die, so I take it quite seriously. This is the first time I have tested positive since the pandemic started.

I don’t presume to speak for anyone besides myself.

Anyhoo, sorry for the firestorm, hopefully it will die down in a bit and folks will move on.

I am still not vaccinated and still never got the virus. My wife got vaccinated because of work (told her, her insurance would increase if she didn’t) and she ended up getting it a few months back and was screwed over for 10+ days. My Aunt has gotten five boosters and got it pretty bad as well but she also does Chemo for her cancer. A lot of the guys I have worked with have gotten it, some not vaccinated some have and they all seem to get it multiple times.

My wife makes it a point to always find the interracial cards for Valentine’s Day :joy: She found something similar to this for me this year.

Btw she’s dark (southeast Asian) and I’m white before people get uppity

I …don’t think that’s the intent of that gif.
