***Covenants***

Do not like the fact that Night Fae is BIS for my warlock, mage and priest. I would like to stay Kyrian for my priest, the theme and the mog fits her the best. Please DO NOT force us to switch to NF !!!

Here before someone comes in saying, “bUt YOu dOnT hAVe TO!!!”

They need to ease these restrictions or just do more balancing. It kind of sucks that I’ll only really be able to enjoy my favorite cosmetics after the expansion when I don’t have to worry about the abilities anymore.

I doubt they will at this point, but man it’s annoying.

You’re not really forced to do anything. Pick the one you like.

Nailed it.

That person would be correct. OP doesn’t have to.

I mean, I can understanding wanting to min max mains, but for alts you might as well do what you want for each character.

Unless you’re doing the highest end content it really shouldn’t matter that much.

Here after someone says you don’t have to

Oh no I have rest assured. It’s just still annoying.

Then do so. Unless you’re pushing mythic raid progression, you can be wherever you want.

i did the same and i will say holy heck is that cast time brutal.
love how it chunks tho. dec bolt is creamyyyy

Yea, another bone headed Decision by the people in charge of blizzard with the covenants…

The have no clue, players don’t want to Intentionally gimp themselves…even if they don’t do more then LFR…some specs it’s like 95% choose the BIS covenant

I still enjoy the expansion, and after bouncing covenants I’ve just given up and I’m committing Kyrian so I’m not throwing away anima contributing to a covenant I’ll never touch again.

I love how we’ve all just said, “eff it, it’s all a mess anyway.”

Bastion isn’t completely out for a lock imo, but fae is. It’s quite a shame because that movement ability is :yum:

I am in NF I hate the ability lol. It is by far my least fav of the 4 doc abilities but I like the covenant best so I sacrificed the ability for the story and what I wanted to be a part of.

I dont like that I had to sacrifice the gameplay power (not to mention the fun aspect) of the abilities Elysian Decree on my DH and Divine Toll on paladin simply because I didn’t like the theme and RP of Bastion.

Why did Blizzard violate my desire to play well, play fun ? (Or, if I chose something I thematically hated, why did they violate my desire for roleplay?)

My experience is this:

Only way choice matters is if you ONLY do ONE end-game activity. Then it feels forced to choose BiS.

However, if you do multiple end-game activities, then it pretty much doesn’t matter, because no covenant will give you BiS 100% in all activities all the time.
If you do PvE and PvP and M+ and Raid, somewhere you will fall out of BiS, so at that point choose what you want, want you think works for you and set your goals accordingly.

Right now I have yet to see a single person being kicked for having the “wrong”
covenant in any end-game content.
That isn’t the same as seeing people prefer certain covenants for certain dungeons, due to the benefits, but yeah for the most part it’s very doable to do any content on whatever covenant you choose.
