Covenants are game breaking for me

I’ve been left with 3 mostly bad choices (changed main to pally).

Kyrians have the only class ability I liked and found mostly useful. But I absolutely hate being in Bastion (hate unsaturated bright landscapes) and the Kyrian lore (they’re a cult) and dislike the tmog.

Ardenweald is the only zone I can stand to travel around and the only zone with some real color. But the class ability is probably the worst to try and setup in anything other than a raid (maybe), and again, I don’t really like the tmog.

The Necro is the only tmog I really like. But the class ability is again kind of weird to use (I stopped using it while leveling, it wans’t really helping), and the zone is a PIA to get around and it’s art style will get old.

So I’m left with three mostly bad decisions that will set the tone for the entire expansion. If player power wasn’t tied to covenants I’d be fine. If covenants could be ignored, I’d be fine.

But It’s been probably 2 days since I hit 60 and every time I finally go to suck it up and choose a covenant, I immediately start thinking how much I’m going to hate most of it, alt-tab or get up and go do something else. Eventually my account afk’s and logs me out.

This is pretty much game breaking. It’s locking me out of everything else (even normal dungs are locked out WTF is that?!) until I do.

yea, i desperately want to be venthyr on my warlock for xmog/flavor purposes, but of course from a gameplay perspective they are awful. instead im being pushed towards being part of some kind of angel cult or faerie gumdrop princess, which… doesnt really fit a warlock in the slightest.

i have yet to choose as well. it gives me nothing but anxiety and irritation.

I want the Venthyr or Night Fae abilities for Raid, the Kyrian abilities for M+, and the Kyrian abilities for offspec.

I prefer Ardenweald and the Night Fae aesthetic.

Oh, and my best soulbinds are different between Havoc and Vengeance.

Tying covenants to player power is a mistake.
