Financially it was the most profitable ever. Blizzard has made billions around the globe in a market where your product can tank overnight. But thanks for your sage advice. Maybe they’ll hire you.
The expansion won’t fail like BFA. Not saying the system isn’t broken. It is. But they already stated if it’s a mess they’ll scrap it. We still have time before launch. Let’s cross our fingers and hope they’ll fix it.
He’s not wrong though. I’m not super interested in hearing about how complex game systems will work from someone who can’t even figure out how to put gems in their sockets.
Nothing wrong with being ultra casual, but stay in your lane. If player power being tied to covenants won’t have any impact on your gameplay then there is no reason for you to be spitting nonsense on the forums.

You seem to put too much stock into fictitious accomplishments in a video game about a pretend world.
But you can’t look stuff up apparently.
You need to balance the pros and cons based on what is most important to you personally! You need to do well on a dmg meter to feel good about yourself? Lock into the one that all the theorycrafters say! Prefer aesthetics, pick that one! Actually care about a soulbind that’s all passive crap? Pick that one. It’s literally just weighing good and bad and whichever one comes out on top for you, you pick that one.

I actually did look it up. BFA is not the most profitable expansion lol.
BfA is the Fiat 500 of expansions .
It looked neat and like it might be fun to drive .
Then you got in started to drive it and then all the problems that you couldn’t see from the outside started to rear their ugly head

Not sure why people are harping on BFA so much. It has its flaws like most expansions, but there isn’t a lack of content or things to do. I think people just like to be miserable because it’s their general outlook in life.

It’s not apples to apples. Yes, Covenants have some issues… but compared to BFA’s systems, class design and Azerite Armor in 8.0?
I’m going to need to see a lot worse than this before I compare SL to BFA. BFA has set the bar so low for me, they basically win the second they remove Corruption, Essences and Azerite Armor.
There goes your consulting job for Blizzard. You can’t even use Google. Try looking up their most profitable quarters for 7 straight quarters.
And SL won’t be any different people haven’t even played it yet but don’t like the concept
It was successful in pre-sales because the pretty packaging made everyone think cool finally we get a real faction war.

An achievement is showing that hopefully that you have the relevant knowledge and experience of the game to come to an informed opinion on a topic.
Personally I think it’s the best one yet, and i’ve been there for every expac since BC
