Sounds like it time for you to decide what role you want your character to play and run with it. Personally I’m glad the days of everyone being able to do everything with any 1 char at any given time may be coming to an end. Wait WoW is supposed to be an RPG ? NOOO way.

All his predictions from Legion Alpha to BFA testing have been spot on.
He extensively tests, and documents and records his testing.
So yes, he has more credibility. He is absolutely just a person, but I trust his judgment far more than GD trolls who 90% of the time don’t even understand the system they are debating.

Man why you gotta be like that? If you want to play one spec and one build for the entire expansion, then do you… I enjoy customizing my character. I enjoy looking at a dungeon and asking myself if more damage or more healing will give us a greater chance at success this time. I enjoy seeing an enemy comp in 3s and thinking if I run this different talent for this niche situation it might work out. I enjoy testing out new builds and different weird abilities.
I have no idea why you want to take that away from people when they’ve been able to do it for over 10 years. BuT wOw Is SuPpOsEd To Be aN RpG is just something people say to hide behind when they don’t have a legitimate argument.

Customizing your character to best approach the challenge is not lazy. It requires a lot of thought if the system is designed correctly.
The covenant abilities do nothing but take away choice?
Right now i just don’t give a f… About covenant and soulbind not because preach say something, simply i have no trust in blizzard anymore.
But like preach i see the problem that blizzard are creating. I’m just tired trying to make people realise that. The number of post i see about covenant and soulbind and the pro and cons of those system.
Like preach aleardy stated everyone was mocking him during légion and bfa and at the end he was right from the start, and people where surprised and angry or shocked by the true of hes wording.
So i really hope people should hear what hes saying and stop saying hes wrong when he the END he was aleardy right about hes concern.
You might not agree with him but he know what hes talking about.
It won’t make wow a better RPG. Developers are making a total fool out of you.

I’m not choosing which covenant I like, which aesthetic I like, etc. I’m just going to pick my favorite spec, favorite form of content and then pick the ability that performs the best because I can’t risk choosing something interesting.
Imagine thinking that choosing an ability on day 1 with extremely limited information and no access to legendaries, conduits, soulbinds and knowing you’re probably going to be nerfed into the ground was “decision making” 
But Ion said the choice would be meaningful. Ion wouldn’t lie to us!

Covenants should have had the same abilities just different skins.
Some players chose their class specifically to serve and play in multiple roles and content types.
Playing across this many kinds of content isn’t lazy - it already requires more work to learn those combinations and to gear out for each.
