Because Blizzard wants to keep the covenant theme going for this expansion. It would be strange seeing other covenant transmogs in for your specific covenant. I’m sure this restriction will go away near the end of the expansion.
Surely nothing could resist the power of
Even Bastion wings!
Have a feeling the restrictions will only be lifted once this xpac is over. Such a stupid design
Because having access to that appearance is one of the perks of being a Kirian. If you can have everything there is no point in having choices.
From the start these were covenant specific what on earth made you think a Venthyr could run around in Kyrian armor?
This restriction, like armor type restriction, is one I am ok with and 100% makes sense. That’s like asking why my horde alt can’t wear the alliance arathi set.
Personally I hope they never remove the restriction, but chances are after shadowlands if covenants are going away they will. For now, its tied to your covenant choice and should stay that way.
I’ll be surprised if they don’t lift the restrictions once the expansion is over but I don’t see them doing it anytime soon while it’s current content.
Your rogue is a kyrian, your paladin is a Venthyr
They champion a different covenant, it literally makes sense
Thats like asking to wear Alliance arathi plate warfront transmog set on your blood elf paladin and wonder why you can’t
They want that time played. Don’t let them fool you. Meaningful choice is a joke as far as how they balanced covenants.
There really isn’t a point to covenants beyond which covenant abilities do the best for your class. No one in my high mythics is not what sims best with their class. Or it’s rare I only know that because people call it out.
They’re cosmetics… They don’t matter beyond personal enjoyment.
A good idea.
I just want the mount restriction lifted…

Except that’s explicitly not the case. The story is very clear there is very explicit respect between the covenants and while they wish you had chosen them they respect your choice. NPCs even remark on this as you go around.
You just stated that cosmetics is something important to you so…
Depends on what you consider high Mythics.
Yes, because most people doing high mythic don’t value cosmetics at all and just want that edge doesn’t matter how small it is.
Its just a game… It doesn’t matter beyond personal enjoyment.
See what I did there?
Point to where I said that. You seem to want to quote every part of my posts yet you didn’t with that one.
That’s because I didn’t say it’s important to me. I say it’s to the benefit of the players to give them more freedom. Give me a reason the restriction is good beyond lore/realism in a fantasy game. I’ll wait.
Thank you for reinforcing what I said. Lifting the restriction would increase personal enjoyment as opposed to restricting it.
prove my point by making me restate it?
Fair enough
For the same reason not all classes have water walking or stealth.
Oh ok, so we should give water walking to every class since lifting restrictions increases personal enjoyment as opposed to restricting it. And repeat this logic to everything in the game.
Apparently you didn’t saw it… amazing how people only see what they want to see.
Wait, they’re covenant restricted? So what about my alts that don’t pick a covenant at all? Then these transmogs aren’t worth bothering with if only ONE toon can use them. Wow. Glad I know this, now I can stop bothering. Just one more reason to let my sub lapse when my time is up.
If everyone can use a mog, then it isn’t exclusive anymore.
And it’s fun to have exclusive mogs.
This is the same logic behind why humans can’t change into vulperas at the barber shop.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Let’s agree to disagree.
Yea, lets just ignore all the points raised since you can’t really counter them.
Nothing to see here.
You did the same… I was trying to at least defuse the argument and come to an agreement knowing we simply had differing opinions, but you’re to childish for that. Have the last word. I’m done replying.
