Didn’t find this topic, but was hoping to see some thoughts of what you’d like to see from Shaman covenant Legendaries.
As a Venthyr, I definitely want the anima power that applies Flame Shock and Riptide to targets from Torghast. I could see how Riptides might be Resto only, but it would enable a Fire Nova build I’ve been waiting for a long time on.
I don’t see how Vesper Totem could ever be usable, so hoping you have some ideas!

What would never be an option
This would be so OP for resto
What I hope for
For ele it resets FE/SE
What i would settle for
This would be epic troll for PVP.
Not so much a legendary but a conduit we really need

They’re certainly taking their sweet *** time with our legendaries for some reason.
I like the idea of putting a riptide/flame shock on whoever it heals/harms. With riptide not being available for dps specs though, maybe something like a ‘master of chains’ would work where a chain heal branches off from each target healed and a chain lightning from each target damaged both at like 15 or 20% effectiveness. Or maybe 1 chain heal and 1 chain lightning at 100% effectiveness?

I kind of felt this way too, but Resto still needs the Flame Shocks! It’s so fun to get surges as Resto (even if I can’t use them all)!
@Madalynn, there’s so much inspiration out there! Maybe I’ll go look through some old tier sets and drool… Ha, I love the info.
I’m not sure what to expect, but as a Venthyr Resto shaman I’m keen to see what they cook up. Considering we don’t really have very strong m+ leggos there’s a good chance it’ll be a contender.
As enhancement, I usually run m+, where both Doom Winds and Deeply Rooted Elements are super strong. I seriously doubt any new covenant legendary could replace Doom Winds especially.

I dont expect any of the enhance covenant legendaries to be even remotely good(I mean, they treat the spec like trash so wont expect anything less for the covenant legos) or competitive. For one, the spec performance is HEAVILY tied to Doom Winds for any type of encounter that involves cleave/AoE, without it our aoe/cleave damage is pretty poor. As for ST, were still extremely reliant on Doom Winds but WDWB is as good or better in some situations…either way, I dont see a way they could make a covenant legendary that would compete with either given that the base power of the spec without a legendary is quite bad. I mean the spec is quite bad in general in Raid right now though, id way rather they actually spend time making meaningful changes/buffs to it(much like the significant time they spent making fairly significant changes to a spec like Aff on the PTR…which was a spec that was performing extremely well, and didnt really NEED that Dev time) rather than give it some half decent covenant lego. However the amount of faith I have in Blizzard that that will happen is as close to zero as you can get.

Yeah it was crazy seeing a 50% pop in output just from adding Doom Winds in my build, but given how talents stack, it makes sense. That’s why I’d like to see some other talents get some real synergy if possible.
