I’m confused about the new 9.1.5 patch. Is it where;
i want to move my 80 renown night fae hunter to venthyr.
my warlock is 80 renown, in venthyr covenant.
if i move my night fae to the venthyr, would she lose her 80 renown?
i was under the impression that if you had an 80 renown character in the covenant you want to switch another character to, you wouldn’t lose the renown you currently have.
If she does move and lose everything, then it’s just a huge grind and waste of time. Yes, the 40 renown token is wonderful but like cmon, lmao.
You don’t lose any renown, but your renown with Night Fae is specific to Night Fae (think of it like reputation). There is no such thing as transferring renown over, so yes you have to re-grind it.
A couple fast ways are Comp Stomp pvp brawl (hurry though this rotates out in 2 days), and Torghast layer 9 runs just skipping past everything and clearing in <5 minutes
Sort of. Each Covenant’s renown is discrete so she’d have to start out at nothing with Venthyr. If she switched back to NF, she’d still have 80 there.
There is a vendor adjacent to the flightmaster in Oribos where you can buy yourself the first 40 renown for your new covenant if you already hit 80 at some point. You then have to get the remaining 40 for the new covenant in any of the normal catch-up ways.
Comp Stomp is mindnumbing after a while but it is pretty fast. I swapped my monk and did 40-80 in my new covenant in a few days that way.
She has no renown with Venthyr, it all stays with Night Fae.
You can transfer anima over, the souls quest is consistently repeatable and the 40 renown token is really all you need. Nothing of huge value is needed beyond 40 renown.

You need 57 to unlock all the soulbind rows, I would call that huge value.
You’re also giving up significant value from the empowered conduits if you don’t unlock at least your potency rows (can be as high as 79 depending on your tree)
I don’t believe the % of DPS from that is a huge value. People were clearing Mythic SoD and running M+ just fine without those.
More DPS is always valuable. Just because the top players in the entire world can do something with low gear by stacking the most meta specs possible and executing 100% perfectly doesn’t mean regular players can do it

We’re not talking about just top players. And no one said more DPS wasn’t valuable. It’s simply not going to stop you from running whatever you want. It’s only been two weeks since we hit 80 renown. Let’s be real here.
It’s also not that hard to regrind up to 80, and the DPS is well worth it. I already have two covenants up to 80 on my main and working on 3rd
Not to mention significant nerfs have gone thru. Nerfs which have done far more than conduit upgrades ever will.
No, it’s not. So I fail to understand why it’s such an issue to so many people. Right now, they’ve got Comp Stomp, plus there’s dungeons, raids, weeklies, callings, world bosses… I mean, they kinda throw it at you.
I had this char go 20 to 50 in a few hours in comp stomp. its not fun the whole night…but its renown.
and that was with alliance taking its sweat butt time for the bg. Horde…they got 4 cap start, stable push close to an art and science. Alliance…don’t know how many times I saw stable empty as I leave last.
Stable being the objective that will see at least 4 visits by rogues and druids for sure. Why I leave last…I got tired of losing stables to lose time on the 5 cap point rush. I camp it when no one else does. Gets busy there too…

lol. horde gets this to where if alliance bots get 14 points…they got too much. alliance drags this out and horde bots get 200+ points. Bot getting 200+ points…is jsut wrong.

You shouldn’t support OCD behavior you should help prevent it. Those tops guys don’t care of convents, classes ,races or spec just a combination of them that gets them the gold medal so they can get sponsor $$ and earn some sort of living
You cannot compare pretenders . wannabies to them and should be against it in full . If being optimum means you gonna stress about every little tiny detail to a point you call it SIGNIFICANT then you are playing the game wrong which is suppose to be taking you away from stress not directly to it .

You need to use it to add it. Why they did that I’m not positive but 'm betting it was intentional given that they updated the tooltips.
I did i equipped and unequipped and still it was not going in appearances tab
