Hello folks!
Recently returning after a long hiatus and I found myself in a pickle. I want to play a Feral and do mostly m+ (till 15s) and arenas for PvP.
However, any guide or player I meet has polarizing opinions, either you talent/spec for PvP or for PvE. Single or AoE. Mainly, if you want to PvP then I’ve been told Necrolords are doing amazing with heavy single target bleed build and for PvE NF is the way to go for AoE.
Is that true? Is there any covenant that would help me do both?
P.S: Any help with legendaries would be appreciated as well, I’m clueless as I find
Draught, CoLD and Apex all appealing.
P.SS: No I’m not going to play moonkin 
or resto (I have this paladin!) Only guardian and Feral! Thank you!

We have one resident necrokitty arena player, but I’m not sure even they think it’s the best spec.
Usually it’s NF vs Kyrian, with Kyrian being the easier one to use in Arena, while NF is better burst for M+ (and PVE in general) and if you can get it off does in fact blow people up, but is much harder to use.

Covenants:
Necrolord - PvP 2s
Kyrian - good middle ground
Night Fae - PvE God
Legendaries:
Draught - PvP 2s - Raid ST
CoLD - good middle ground (pairs well with Necro)
Apex - Better in PvE being able to have multiple Rips out to increase proc rate to help funnel damage

I wouldn’t count out Night Fae for PVP. Especially if you wanted something more well rounded for all content.
Convoke can bea game changer but requires setup. Honestly I’m debating swapping back to NF from Necro.

Ooo so I guess NF is equally viable with just a different setup yeah?
This clears up so much! I’m still salty as to why we can’t switch covenants and have the flexibility without sacrificing one for the other

Issue is, everyone in PvP knows you have it and they’re waiting for you to use it to instantly kick
Now I’m not saying it isn’t good, I’d you can get one off, hey GG. But it’s hard to get one off for a full channel. And it’s not as potent as Boomkins is

Convoke is Harder to get off in 3’s. So Kyrian probably a Wiser choice if that’s where you wish to Head and don’t want to be Necro.
Most of the top arena dudes are necro now if that means anything to you. Draught is the legendary for necro.
You can get by with anything for +15s, just may not be ideal.
However, for arena - you can go cheese (Night Fae - revolves around setting up convoke / not getting kicked). Kyrian for straight forward consistent damage, Necrolord for bleed / survivability build (still does good damage but not very bursty/likely going to dampening a lot. You do not choose Venthyr for anything other than the aesthetic.

I think one thing people frequently forget, is that if you run Niya in PvP you essentially get a 400 mastery bonus everytime you use convoke which lasts 30 seconds.
This buff alone is huge - if you get kicked on convoke then go berserk you can still easily drop people/put out massive damage.

On that reason alone makes the new Convoke legendary very appealing. Sure it casts less spells but your uptime on the mastery is effectively doubled.
It also aligns perfectly with the pvp trinket as both have 1 min cooldown.

It will likely depend on if they actually give you full value of mastery with that - could see them reducing it by half.

It is indeed tough! I’ve been playing around in BGs and it seems almost impossible haha. Though if it goes out you can definitely see people panicking
Wow I definitely did not know about the passive 30 sec bonus! It seems huge, Kyrian sounds equally great (I was deciding between NF and Necro but it seems Kyrian is a very viable option as well!)
I’m really enjoying the necro bleed build at the moment, but honestly considering the move to NF.
Looking at the new convoke lego making it a 1 min CD, I’m imagining some crazy burst every 1 min with convoke, feral frenzy, and tigers fury with a bite build

The necro dot builds have brought out a lot of Dwarves. I went back to Night Fae.
Imagine playing druid for the flexibility, and then running into covenants. Feels bad.
FWIW, in arena, necro feral is the play at the top right now, but speculation for those folks about the 1 minute convoke is looking promising.

It does look promising provided they don’t nerf it ASAP from all the crying haha
