What are you Priest types choosing and why? I’m thinking between Kyrian (because it’s just a gorgeous covenant all around) and Night Fae (because none of my top four classes have Night Fae as their chosen covenant yet 
)
Is there something drawing you toward one of the covenants in particular?
There is no consensus atm what the bis covenant is, but personally I will delete my toon before I go kyrian. haha exaggeration but I don’t want to be kyrian.
I like the necro ability but I don’t like their soulbinds.
Venthyr seems ok but not exciting but soulbinds are fine.
Night fae, well as a giant of a man, the thought of going cute little fairies turns my stomach somewhat but it has some decent utility and soulbinds
Short of it is so far im still undecided.
since we are a main healer class we wont really be pigeon held into a specific. i reckon necro lord will be preety chief. venthyr might take the top as a mythic plus meme ability. nothing better then tyranical boss healing your tank to full every attack.
Almost certainly Kyrian. the Phial is a bit underwhelming (though less so now that they’ve finally taken it off the health potion cooldown), but Boon of the Ascended looks like a good time.
Also, hell, I just love their aesthetic to death and back.
For Holy,
Night Fae looks to be my first choice, as the little pea pod cheat death is pretty huge considering priests get killed by a swift gust of wind.
Although Kyrian’s class ability looks really good for M+, as one of HPriests biggest problems is DPSing while healing and the class ability is literally that. Also, since Crit is a lot more valuable in M+, the Valiant Strikes soulbind looks like it’ll be a powerhouse.
Been trying to find, without success, what major cds get reduced by fae guardians. anyone know or can direct me?
All the Covenant abilities other than Boon of the Ascended for Disc seem pretty bad. I guess Unholy Nova has some merit for Holy because of Echo of Light, but it still seems underwhelming. Fae Blessings already got gutted with PW:S no longer granting resource, and Void Bolt no longer giving cdr. Mind games seems solely pvp related. I guess I’ll be picking based off the conduit talent trees.
With the others nerfed, and with boon amplifying spirit shell, i expect boon to be nerfed soon too. Will be interesting to see

Also Phial from kyrian is super strong.
What? The Night Fae clearly is an awesome choice since Mobility has always been a problem for Priests
Venthyr is great except for the actual priest ability.
I suppose Night Fae is best for general use.
I don’t care about the other two because they offer nothing for mobility.
I prefer venthyr for Door of Shadows alone.
Necrolord or bust.
So I took another look and I think my opinions changed a bit. Necrolord seems to be kind of the best of the bunch.
Unholy Nova -> Another 1min AOE heal we can use.
Unholy Transfusion -> Pretty dope on big raids for healing.
Fleshcraft -> 2 min 20% hp self-protection… becomes 50% if used near corpses.
For me as a Shadow Priest it is going to be Night Fae. The only bonus is it was the covenant I want to go with story wise already. Thus I am not really struggling on ability vs covenant here. I just wish I had more compelling reasons to choose the other three.
It wont be a choice. As a holy priest you are basically stuck looking for whichever cov offsets your weaknesses in m+ and elsewhere.
I imagine shadow/disc priests thematically/story wise have more options too with the covs where none kinda vibe with holy much at all outside of the obvious and even then it’s kinda cringe.

What about the squish factor, at least we still have feathers if talented into it. Necro allows us to have the shield and the feathers /shrug
Problem is barely anyone is picking a cov based on which is “fun” because even in your mind you looked for something that offsets a huge weakness holy has. Fae might just be the best one middle ground wise though, fun story theme and the movement ability lets you move out of feathers and grab one of the other super weak defensive abilities in that row.
Unholy Nova is the only interesting ability for me. Short-ish cooldown, actually has a good effect for all situations and doesn’t make the shadow rotation super weird after using it.
The shield is a nice survivability bonus.
Best cloth covenant set by far.
I’m picking Night Fae for the fantasy. I don’t really care about min/max. Important thing is that I’m happy, period.
