When have we ever had core class abilities tied to RP decisions? Name one time that’s happened.

Oh give me a break. This isn’t a time element. They’ve had ample warnings from players since the beginning, on all of this. And any competent design team would have seen the inadequacies of the system themselves during internal review.
This is design arrogance, plain and simple. They’re convinced that they’re right, and everyone else is wrong. They could have ten years to work on Shadowlands and all these problems would still be there.

No, no, don’t backtrack, you’ve said we need to make these decisions in the past, and that this isn’t new. When have we made this choice before? When have we had core class spells tied to a RP choice?

Eh, well, it’s a lot more than just GD, even a lot more than the forums for that matter. Also, I can’t applaud blizzard for designing a system that will end up driving more people away, and stubbornly launching it despite pages and pages of detailed feedback on why it is bad and how to fix it.

and you have been misled into thinking Alpha/Beta is anything more than you helping them Tune their already decided decisions. Shakes my head where have you all been these last 15 years… You all are nothing but money machines to them. They (devs and company) care nothing of your concerns, they make the game you pay… thats all, until you all actually “/quit” and affect their bottom line they dont care they really dont.

Yes we had to choose in the past, guess what… make a choice and get over it.
Why? Blizzard pushed through systems that people said were poorly implemented, and then had to fix them later, basically doing what people said needed done in the first place.
I get that the community is diverse and that the customer is not always right, but for the past two expansions, there were glaring issues pointed out by the community – feedback that Blizzard ignored – and Blizzard eventually had to change the systems to something much more reasonable anyway. If anything, this shows that BLIZZARD is the one that’s not always right.
Anyone with half a brain can see the train wreck that’s gonna happen in SL. Blizzard has been warned.

Except that if you’re in a guild, it was very, very easy to get an offset, and the only barrier to swapping from Ret to Holy would be the respec cost.
IE Judgement is just DPS gear, it’s terribly itemized for healing, but every paladin and their mom who raids classic has it. All a Paladin has to do is pay the respec cost and they can play reckoning ret until they respec next.
Also, Duel spec came in during wrath, so you were only spec locked from 1.1 until 3.2. That was only 4 years, not 8. Get your facts right.
Covenants have an absurd barrier compared to 50g+offspec gear.
sorry but in Vanilla, respeccing 50g every week or twice a week became very expensive so you either stayed ret or stayed holy. Fine 2008, same thing anyways… sorry if you don’t like the game as they make it, then cancel your sub lots of us have done that… (though most of us come back when we get bored). I’m so tired of all the complaining before the xpac comes out… wait it its released already before you all come here and complain.
I mean Classic has been proving that what you’re saying is blatently untrue. Spec locking isn’t a thing. Respeccing isn’t a barrier at all. 50g can be farmed in a 3 hour session really easily by any class.
Your looking at the came from Classic glasses and not Vanilla glasses, Vanilla was a different game. Classic is NOT Vanilla.
