Couldn't validate code, please try again

I’m trying to redeem a code at Orgrimmar NPC for Retail WoW.

But it triggers an error “Couldn’t validate code, please try again”

Any idea? I’ve opened a ticket but it mentions 26 days as Average response time D:

Im really hoping this fix this. Landro Longshot wont validate anything for me either

Leandro was broken and would take anything as a valid code. A few people were banned for grabbing 50 or so Spectral Tigers…

Given that Ladro’s issue isn’t affecting peoples ability to login or play the game at this time, tickets for his issue are probably not being triaged as high priority.

Wow so you’re staying he’s still not granting codes? I literally have been waiting to redeem mine since receiving it in the mail.

Same problem here, although sad, I am glad to hear others are having this issue. I was beginning to panic

I am having the same issue. However, when I put in a support ticket, it was auto closed with this response.

I still have my ticket open and the average response time just increase each day :scream: , I don’t see any relation between the issue and those links. We shouldn’t receive an automated response, once a ticket is created.

To be clear, that’s not a count-down timer for your ticket. It’s the age of the oldest ticket in queue for other issues.

If there’s an issue with the NPC, then no ticket and no GM is going to be able to assist. It will likely require a fix from the development team.

I know that’s the “average” which should take on consideration the oldest ticket in queue, I don’t know how CS handle tickets and SLAs. When I mentioned that response time increase each day, its just my concern about the amount of ticket on CS and their resources to handle that amount of queries.

However, the ticket is for visibility, so the CS team should communicate this bug to the Dev team, otherwise which is the path to reach the Dev team for a possible hotfix?

At the Bug Report forum or through the ingame bug report button as CS doesn’t monitor these.

And thats what the bug reports are for tickets just to bring attention to the dev team is only adding to the ticket bloat.

Anyone get a resolution to this? I can’t redeem my Blizzcon Code even though I did the WoW legacy claim and then also got the generated code for the right region and zone. I can’t get Ransin Donner to accept my code.

has been bugged for weeks. No response from Blizz

anyone? :frowning: It kinda sucks to have these awesome item codes and then no one has fixed a 2 month old redemption issue.

Glad to know there is a Landro issue, I just got a Mottled Drake card and keep getting “Couldn’t Validate Code. Try Again.” Thought I got scammed for a minute till I found this thread.

I tried to redeem on my battle.net, but get the same error.

I’ll turn in a ticket also. really stinks that we cant claim stuff >.>
