Could we get an "Accessory" slot for our fishing hats?

I really like the crafting transmogs for things like mining. I also have a fishing hat that I still have to put on and take off and it would be fun if there was a slot for the hat. I also have gloves with an enchant but they’re not “fishing gloves” specifically, just some vanilla fingerless gloves with the enchant.

Yeah, you can literally make a fishing profession hat that’s just like… an equipped hat lol

Not that I’m complaining - the fact that it doesn’t cost mettle and provides skill up to 100 let me speed level Tailoring for pennies.

But while we’re on the subject, it’s also kinda lame that Fishing and Cooking didn’t get their own specialization skill tracks. Maybe they’re saving that for 10.1… with a revamped Archaeology? :crossed_fingers:t4:

No way! I wear mine around my neck, held on by the tie string. The hat comfortably hangs on my back. I look uber productive and insightful like this. Please do not take this away from me.

I hope so,

Hats and boots should have been the other two profession equip slots of fishing but from what appeared and disappeared during beta, it seems like getting legacy fishing gear to work with the new slots turned into quite the can of worms to implement.

As long as I can specialize in mead making

I just want a more streamlined way of applying fishing baits. Instead of just right-clicking it in my bag (or clicking on the hat), I now have to fish (no pun intended) for the fishing journal in the profession window, open it, and click on the fishing pole in the equipped slot.

Probably because it has stats on it. Any profession tool with stats don’t seem to be marked as tools/accessories. :frowning:

Tbf, you can make separate set and save it so you can swap out sets…idk if this helps…not in game so cant specifically say what it is, i just know its under “C” where you insepct your toon and stats.

But i can put my fishing pole in there, it has stats.

¯_(ツ)_/¯

I dunno. It seems a lot of quest related tools and accessories were not given the designation when they launched the new profession system. I don’t know if it’s a limitation of the system or just some lazy designer.

I’m guessing Fishing didn’t because of all the Tuskarr involvement in fishing equipment. Cooking feels kind of blah this expansion for sure though, would be interesting to see how they’d address it with specializations. Would definitely like to see some more Archaeology, and this would have been a fantastic expansion for it to return with all the potential things we could dig up around the Isles.

Would like to see Fishing get the accessories slots at all and add a second one for Cooking (we had an apron in the past after all). Fishing also needs a lot of love to get the rest of the lures working on the Fishing Tool and the Underlight Angler being able to use the additional tint options.

pls pls pls pls pls pls

I think fishing should be something engineers make decent gold off. Lures, reels, rods, ice chests that fill a bag slot, fish finders, and so on.

Not gonna lie, was actually a little disappointed that cooking didn’t at least, at minimum, get included in the work order system. Lots of people raid and mythic that can’t be bothered working on cooking… work orders would be a viable system to ‘request’ someone to craft said things instead of selling the mats and buying the feasts or individual stat food…

Archaeology being canned in Shadowlands was a major piss-off for me… I respect the argument of not wanting to give away too much lore, or not knowing what artifacts to add… but there could have been any number of bolt on solutions… I really hope archaeology is back sooner rather than later…

Fishing accessory slots and an easier way to utilize lures is still strongly needed. 10.1 at minimum let’s hope

yeah…this would be cool having all the little ‘extras’ that go with fishing. I don’t wanna carry all this stuff in my bags , but all these things in slots we dont have to mess with would be cool.

No, the problem is that fishing literally doesn’t have an accessory slot at all.

There’s only a profession tool slot (for the fishing rod).

Maybe a fisher can swap the reagent bag for a tacklebox.
