…like the anniversary buffs did? Twice this week I got this buff only to be killed almost right away due to sloppy group play in a dungeon. If not I’ll just stop bothering with DMF, it’s just not worth it.

Until blizz fixes this situation, I just queue from the carousel.
It stinks not being able to go quest while waiting for queues though.

Is there something in a dungeon that you need the buff for?
afaik, anything you would want it for DURING the run, you can do just as easily/better running solo (which would have zero chance of death).
I can’t think of any situation where you want a top hat, and are also in danger of dying. I could be wrong, but everything I can think of, you do the activity first, then you turn in. Which means if you lose the buff, you just go get it again … then turn in with the bonus.
If it really is an obstacle, buy Top Hats.
At the start of an expansion, when I’m really pushing rep hard for bonuses/rewards, there’s still a random chance for a goofy mistake that kills you and you lose the buff. Rather than spend the time going back and forth to DMF, I just carry 3-4 Top Hats on me at all times. Since I play in 2-3 hour bursts, I’m never without a buff.
I think it is done this way a sink for Tickets. Once you buy all the pets, toy, and mounts, there’s nothing to spend them on except Top Hats. Even with me splurging on them every so often, I still have like 20k+! lol
And make it last longer. It’s not even worth the time to go get.
Isn’t it an XP buff or did they change it? What do the top hats do? I haven’t been to DMF in a while.
It’s a 10% bump to XP and reputation gains, but there’s been some confusion amongst players. Some people only seem to think it’s one or the other but it’s both.
Experience while leveling.
It’s still an XP and rep buff for killing things and turning in quests.
xp… lol ok I guess. It turns your 2 hour grind to max level into 1 hour, 50 mins. But it’s true… it helps. 
All I can say is: bring Top Hats. Because I certainly am not going to argue this game be watered down even more to the point we ensure there’s never a wipe in a dungeon just to save a buff.
Maybe making the buff perm isn’t asking too much. I dunno… I’m not totally sold on that.
But I would admit that when Blizz makes this one buff perm and this other buff temporary… it leaves the player wondering why.
Just don’t die.

I think now that we’ve had the anniversary buff DMF definitely doesn’t quite hit the same.
Since both have kinda been the same for years I don’t see them changing it - I have no opposition to it tho!
