Could the dropped, unfinished and cut content be an expansion in itself

Ever since the game was released in 2004 there has been content that has been cut from the game, SOME of that content was put in at a later date like Black Temple was orirngaly meant as a Vanilla Raid Hellfire Penninsula was meant as a Vanilla Zone, but were made part of WOW’s first expansion TBC. But there are content that was just never added later like the third major patch for WOD and its raid, and there was also a raid intended for the one Cata water zone Vashj’ir.

With all the content that was never added to the live servers I feel an argument could be made to take those cut content like WOD’s 3rd major patch and if Shadowlands was meant to have a 3rd major patch those could be taken to be allowed as potential first 2 patchs for an expansion to allow for storylines to be properly finshed and as for the final patch take all the other cut content like the Vashj’ir cut raid for the 3rd patch. I feel this would allow blizzard to do certain things like Have Ghostlands and Eversong Woods be truelly made made part of Eastern Kingdonm and have Azuremyst and Bloodmyst isles be propeerly added to Kalimdor, this way those 4 zones would be allowed to have flying in those zones.

I feel in this situiation since all the content that was unfinsihed, cut and/or never added to to live servers were decided to be finshed and turned into an expansion there would be no new zones and would allow the people who would normally be used FULL new zones to allow them to update Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor to allow those 4 new zones to properly be added to the continents there part of and allow us to fly in. I do not mean to say there would be some zones needed for some of the cut content, I am just assuming that certain amount of those Zones are already done rather it be say 40% or 80% a certain amount of those zones are already done and just needs to be flushed out like maybe just needing to add a Building in 1 spot, fish in a pool stuff like that.

IF this expansion were to be done this would allow blizzard to finish off Storylines that were dropped for what ever the reason. I feel it would also allow blizzard to have what ever the expansion they do after to flush it out and make sure the start of the expansion is as good as it can be.

basicly get all the unfinshed stuff and finish them off then release it as an expansion.

In that case, could probably have more than 1 expansion then with the amount of stuff they end up scrapping

Expansion wouldn’t make any sense and would take place in basically every single continent, but would be some content to do

I would be fine where if it were multiple exapasions to allow to have all the storylines finished and as they do update all the Continents to bring them into the current Graphical system starting with Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor like i mention to allow those 4 zones to properly be part of there perspective continents so we can fly and have Silvermoon Finshed and allow the Horde to properly use it and fill it up like there other cities and update Exodar for Alliance for similar reasons.

1 thing i never understood is when they were redoing Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdom for Cataclysm why the 4 zones werent just added to there proper Continents for flying then since they were revamping those contients any way.

IF this were to be done id like to see World Wintergrasp to be fixed so we dont get dismounted as we fly through the zone, IF anything if Wintergasp is ‘active’ have it ask us if we intend to join and if we select no have it teleport us to the other side of the zone to allow us to continue where we were heading.

Underwater Cata Raid!

I can’t wait for the expansion where we go from being in an underwater raid rescuing Neptulon to raiding Shattrath alongside Yrel against Guldan to helping the Primus get the fifth Doohickey to chase the Jailer into Zereth Mortis, with a quick jaunt to Faralon and the Ogre Kingdoms on the side! What a rollercoaster that will be!

Normally things get cut for a very good reason beyond funding and time. However, in the spirit of chaos I would love to play a cutting room floor version of WoW that is only things they didn’t finish.
