I'm just tossing this out there... Could we have Sylvanas not die or be otherwise removed from the story by the end of BfA, please? All signs seem to point to her being deposed or killed by the end of the expansion.
Wouldn't it be cool if she came out of BfA ahead instead, and the Horde gets another major cultural shift where the forsaken become the dominant culture? Maybe even change the orcish red and black icon for the Horde itself into something more forsaken-themed moving forward. It'd keep things fresh.
I hope she gets killed again, then reraised with the new light way of raising the dead, and then joins the Alliance just to spite the horde.
It would be cool OP, so the chances of Blizzard doing that are around a million to one. The writers brains seem as impenetrable as reinforced concrete.
Nope she on that path of Garrosh....... So nope
Sylvanas will not be killed off.
Didn't you hear? Heroes never die!

Could she survive? Yes
Should she survive? No
Should she survive? No
I hope not. The ocean of tears that follows her final death will be amazing.

The ocean of tears that follows her survival or redemption arc would be even better.
I forgot that being against losing yet another warchief means people are fanboys...10/30/2018 07:33 AMPosted by NøzI hope not. The ocean of tears that follows her final death will be amazing.
I for one would be glad to at least end one xpac without having to have another Horde leader as a loot pinata.
She could with really terrible writing. Based on recent storytelling, it's incredibly likely she might survive.

I doubt she'll die.
I actually think she may transcend and become Lich Queen eventually somehow.
If Sylvanas survives BfA, I'm not giving this company another cent as long as I live.
Zero chance that she dies, why on earth would Blizzard kill off one of their most popular characters?
They're not killing her off. She's way too popular within the general player base. 3 characters have immunity Sylvanas, Thrall and Jaina.

Blizzard already said her storyline was NOT going to be Garrosh 2. People on this game, ie angry ones from Moonguard are SO quick to grab torches and pitchforks in the first few chapters, they have no idea of the ending BUT time to witchhunt.

Why are some of you so anxious to erase all the original wow characters? WoW has already lost so many of the characters that shaped this game.
I think that the most shocking twist would be that Sylvanas succeeds in whatever she is doing.
Because we keep getting hints that there's something far larger in play, like why the Void hates her, who put her in charge, and I feel we are bound to a "enemy mine" situation rather than another Warchief turned boss.
Does this lead to a third faction? Or Sylvanas acting as a "neutral" quest giver and character next expansion? Who knows, but I do think it will be very interesting that while Sylvanas motives are undoubtedly selfish, the end for her is the same than for the "good" people, such as defeat the Void Lords.
And I think that's the issue I see a lot with opinions on Sylvanas, equating her usefulness with some sort of redemption, when I think the issue is that she is useful while being unredeemable, as an example of "the ends justifies the means"
Who will succeed, the one that doesn't compromise their morals for victory, or the one that pursues victory at any cost? And what if from that victory depends the fate of the world itself?
A story where the heroic self-righteousness is a flaw and complete and amoral pragmatism has more chances of working could be VERY interesting for a setting as WoW, specially where there is no empirical benevolence and even beings of Light can be misguided.

It's possible she dies and is still a part of the story. We really don't know the extent of her deal with Helya. My personal favorite theory is that if she dies she has to take Helya's place in Helheim. This mean Sylvanas could be removed as a faction leader but is still a major lore character in the meta-narrative. If she does die, I don't think it will be at the hands of the player characters.
I sure hope not.
I want Tyrande and Genn to kill her and then parade around Darkshore / Gilneas with her head on a pike.

I think she’ll survive, but will no longer be part of the horde.
This is unlikely to happen, but I think it would be cool if she were to break off from the horde and create a third faction. This faction would include undead versions of all the playable races, and would be the “evil” faction.
For the forsaken that are not down with Sylvanas, maybe they would decide to stay with the horde and choose Calia as their leader? They would stop using the plague and quit raising new undead.
With Sylvanas gone, the alliance and horde can call a truce to end the faction war. Next expac would then focus of death/shadowlands/lich king/Sylvanas and her new forsaken faction.
