animal companion talent?

So, it says when i use call pet it summons another pet? what if you already have your pet out?
and can you change the order of your pets, cuz it says it will summon the 1st pet slot

It calls the pet that you have in the first slot in your stables. Yes, you can move the pets in your stable around.

Ty, but what if my pet is already out? or does it call the extra pet whenever you bring out a pet? also is it permanent? so you always have 2 pets out?

Whenever you have your pet summoned, and you’ve selected animal companion as the talent, it will also summon the pet in your first stable slot. Whenever you dismiss your pet, the animal companion pet will also be dismissed. You cannot actually control the animal companion separately. And yes, it is permanent as long as you have the talent selected and your pet is out.

If you are a new hunter, have say only 3 pets total tamed it calls the next pet down when you click on your whistle. If like others are saying, and you have pets you tamed in your stable, your companion pet is always the pet you have in your first slot of your stable

Yes if you goto any stable, and click on the NPC to arrange your stable, on the left is all the pets on you,to the right is your stabled pets. You can drag/drop and pet to whatever placement you want them.

A lot depends on your team. If your teammate doesn’t have a healing debug for the enemy player, often they will pull out a hunter pet that does. One with a leach buff is also good as hunter is often the target the other team will try and kill and the extra heals are helpful for you

Companion pet does not matter so I would run a clone of your primary or something abnormally large/distracting to keep the attention off of the main pet

/edit capture the same pet twice? even if it’s elite? like reban and king krush? can you do that?

There’s 2 ways to do a clone pet

  1. Catch the same pet twice and set the clone to the first spot in the stable

  2. If you have 2-5 pets and 0 in the stable, you can set the pet you want cloned to Call Pet 1 and it will clone itself

Btw i only have 1 pet so far, a wolf with ferocity, but uhhh when i go companion talent, it only summons the 1 wolf, i thought you said it would duplicate the wolf? kinda confused how to do it with only 1 summon/pet? Haven’t tamed any others yet waiting till i hit 60 for that, but 2 wolves would work great.

No, it doesn’t copy any pet, if you want 2 of the same you have to tame two of the same. With only one tamed pet you will only have one out even with the two pet talents selected

Yes it does copy a pet.

You need 2-5 pets and 0 in stable. Then set your cloning pet to Call Pet 1.

Call the pet, right click the portrait, then select abandon.

Gotta tell you, the first time I did that, I felt so guilty. Lol. I’ve never done it since. I just put them in the stable to chill with the others.

errrr stupid question, what happens if my companion talent pet dies? do i gotta resurrect it, or dismiss my main pet and resurrect, or? ty again
