Shadowmourne is one of the few active legendary weapons left in Azeroth that actually retain their power… When we last saw Shadowmourne in Lich King expansion it was brand new,… But by now its likely asorbed countless souls…
I believe it can be used to absorb Xalatath soul and power up the weapon to Frostmourne levels or beyond…
ALso us as the player character lore wise arent we strong enough to kill leading characters like Jaina/Thrall/ whatever big name people ?
We have been growing in power for decades lol so lorewise we should be equal in power level to the big name characters or stronger.

Currently it’s unknown who wields legendary weapons like Shadowmourne or the frost drake staff from Firelands and etc weapons. Could be possible if Shadowmourne was the reborn of Frostmourne or the twinblades of the fallen prince would do that to Xal’atath.
Death knights getting some purposeful screentime and relevancy for once?

Wasn’t Shadowmourne shattered by Ashbringer and then reforged into the Blades of the Fallen Prince Frost DK artifact in Legion?
If yes, then it would effectively be out of commission since it’s powers would’ve been siphoned into the Sword of Sargeras?
I’m not entirely sure if it would act the same as Xal’atath since IIRC Arthas didn’t imprison any full-on entities inside the blade like Xal or Aluneth (Arcane Mage artifact).
