has anyone run into this? it was a 10m normal, the button wasn’t placed on my bar but I had: /cast Vampiric Bite macro’d and was spamming it, running in and out of the other player trying to get it to work. It wasn’t a one off issue, on both pulls the ability failed for me

We had a hunter that had this happen to last night. He was streaming and upon review of the void it was very obvious he went to the player he was suppose to bite, targeted, and you could see the button spamming to bite by getting highlighted. It simply wasn’t going off, but then like you said other people were having zero issue.
We think it was an addon or WA interfering with it.

thanks for the response, it’s good to know I wasn’t the only one… but what I’m wondering is; why would an addon/ WA interfere with this? everything else on my bars where I keep this macro work fine, including other macros… makes it difficult to figure what to do

Did you figure out what was causing it?
Was it the first bite, or a later one? Your target was probably already bitten if it wasn’t the first bite.

Something similar happened to me. I had the button available but couldn’t activate it with keyboard bindings. I had to manually hover and click the spell with my mouse.
No clue what changed because it worked fine in my 10 man the previous night.
What class were you playing and do you use bartender?
Not yet, I haven’t had to bite someone since then but I’m worried about it failing again.
Think I was second, I followed the WA so I don’t think he was.
We had a guildie struggling because he used Bartender - something about making sure you have Bar 1 displayed. I use the default so I didn’t have any issues

multi dollar company simply needs a little longer to tweak the mechanics for something that worked fine over a decade ago

This happen to me in our guild run last week. They said to turn off bartender or atlas loot. I turned both off and it started working again.

I don’t get why I can’t run track for 30 minutes straight, like I used to do over a decade ago. It’s so weird. I mean I used to do it back then, why can’t I now? Times don’t change or anything.
It’s almost definitely an addon that’s causing an issue, which is not Blizzard’s problem to fix.

For what it’s worth, or anyone else who may have this issue, it was definitely bartender for me. Specifically, open the options, Click the “Action Bars” on the left hand navigation, and uncheck the “Use Blizzard Vehicle UI” button.
This let me use my keybinds again for the bite.
This still a problem for me, I use Dominos not Bartender.
it does have “Use Blizzard Override Action Bar” I’ll turn it off
Yeah, same here. I don’t use Bartender but couldn’t bite when I was supposed to. None of my keys nor clicking on the icon worked. I have also heard of this happening to others randomly but do not know if they use Bartender or not.

This sounds as though an addon might be interfering. You might want to run w/minimal addons to see if it helps. My group has not seen this but that is not to say it is not happening. I am fully convinced it was…stranger things have happened.
