Today was the first time I’ve ever even attempted to beat Kurog Grimtotem on Heroic, so I wasn’t locked out of getting credit for the kill or from being able to loot the boss.
I have logs to show that I participated in every fight with this group (a PUG) as well as screenshots of chat logs.
When the boss was finally killed, the body did not have the typical sparkles emanating from it, nor could I click on it to loot. I was not able to select need/greed on any of the items that dropped, including the tier set token for my class that dropped and therefore, was not included in the roll for it.
Raiderio (sorry, apparently I can’t submit this post with the proper website name), even after updating several times, only shows that I’ve killed 5/8 of the Vault bosses on Heroic difficulty (though it strangely also doesn’t show any Vault of the Incarnates raid progress), but the Great Vault shows that I’ve killed Grimtotem on Heroic, as well as the prior 5 bosses before it this week.
This also happened earlier this week when I killed a boss on Normal difficulty (I can’t remember which one), but nothing that was relevant to my class dropped from that boss and I got the primal currency in the mail, so I didn’t bother submitting a ticket for it. Another player in that raid group also wasn’t able to loot that boss either.
I have thus far, even after logging out and back in, not gotten any primal currencies for the Grimtotem kill in my mail.
Again, these were the first pulls on Heroic difficulty that I have ever attempted on Grimtotem. I was not locked to the boss, so this can’t be because of that.
Edit: Went to sleep, woke up, and Raiderio updated my profile to 6/8 Heroic bosses completed, demonstrating that last night/this morning was indeed the first time I had ever beaten Grimtotem on Heroic. I should have been able to loot the boss.
