I only will have 500K gold going into 9.2 and over the course of the tier I potentially will have to max upgrade 6 leggos at mininum playing all three specs. It can be worse if I have to recraft the same leggo in a different slot because of the tier pieces overlapping.

you dont need the ilvl , legendaries are good because of the effect

It’s going to be different on different servers. They will probably start around 300k on smaller servers, where there is less supply. Another thing to note is the the difference between a 262 and a 291 is less than a flask (in terms of raw stat difference), and 235 to 291 is about a flask and a food buff (I did the math on this using pants, so it’s going to be even less if your legendary is on a lower stat budget slot).

In all honesty, it’s going to be a bait for people to gold sink their coffers.

We need more crafters posting in these sorts of threads.
I will explain:
Rank 7’s use the Rank 4 recipe, same as the Rank 6’s did.
The expenses that crafters are trying to recoup (and the barrier to new crafters entering the market) are the 45 Rank 1 through 3 items people need to make to GET the Rank 4 recipes.
Since people cranking out Rank 6’s already HAVE the Rank 4 recipes, their expenses are done.
The actual materials to make a Rank 6 are pretty low compared to what came before.
EDIT: Oh, I should mention one exception: Protogenic Pelts. You need 40 of them to make a Vestige of the Eternal and they can only be skinned off of specifically named rares in Zereth Mortis. It’s ridiculously harder than it is to get the Cloth equivalent for example, which drops off of any spider/worm.
Want money in 9.2? GET SKINNING.

That is actually what I did at the start of Shadowlands, I used a ilvl 190 master assassin legendary until the Korthia patch dropped lol

Yes! You’re correct, but all that proves is that Blizz is completely incapable of dialing in a feature, currency, or talent. They don’t have a single person on the staff anymore that has any common sense or design capability. It’s a sinking ship full of rats. The game will be free to play and a wasteland in a year.
