I honestly don’t see them. I really don’t. Grinding out fire waters, Assay mats, mining open world, DME jump run portals, crusader/nature prot/shadow prot/greater strength recipe farms, like I don’t see bots with any of the farms I do. People keep saying there are tons of bots but I just don’t see them. I mean they have to exist somewhere I’m sure, but it is NOTHING like I experienced in 2019.
I honestly think they are making so much money with the summon automation WA that they really don’t “bot” they just automate the whole thing with WA but they are actually sitting there and not “afk botting” per say.
Two resets ago they were absolutely murdering everything within sight at the assay mats, like there was an actual swarm of them, there were also a rogue army of them in BRD (i checked, they seem to be gone). Inside and outside sunken temple was another place, inside stratholme was another
I checked BRD for pickpocket bots and didn’t see any either. Scholo I didn’t see any hunters(maybe thats why, was it hunter bots for TBC and something different for vanilla?), never checked ST or strat though. I was honestly very surprised at the lack of bots tbh. I mean I started anniversary a month ago and I remember in 2019 open world farming was next to impossible with how many bots were out and about but was pleasantly surprised for the last 2 weeks when I went open world farming for recipes at how very few bots I encountered.
its mostly mages inside instances in vanilla, which makes them hard to detect because there are also a ton of real players who are mages who are also inside every instance, aswell as boosters
i can only assume that they got destroyed during the pvp and went somewhere else
Oh i also saw them running to UBRS/LBRS a lot, if you check the gfpp recipe cost, or the robe of the archmage costs, you can see something extremely sus, i actually saw mokjin? the troll rogue who posts on here farming the bots on the way to ubrs
they have them in stocks too
then any fishing material is pretty much all bots too
Well I have a BSIT with a focus in Cyber Security, however Ironically enough the job I was fortunate enough to have last year required no degree at all.
This is also why Blizzard bans bots in waves. It’s just enough to maintain the appearance that they care. But they gotta be careful not to ban the botting accounts too quick, or they’ll stop subbing.
You obviously don’t play the game at high performance.
No consumes or world buffs are needed to finish content.
If you are in a guild who clears MC in less than 40 minutes, consumes are REQUIRED.
Yes we have a choice on the type of guild we run with, but for some (me included), I value my time enough to finish the raids quickly and efficiently.
The biggest problem are the flask prices which are being controlled by black lotus bots.
I think if blizzard fixes this, a lot more people would be happy. Increasing the spawn rates just gives the bots more Lotus. They need to make it drop from all the herbing nodes so normal people farming DME/other herbs can get them.
TBC can’t get here fast enough…it is far superior raiding, the whole world buff meta is such a drawn on trogg, gets annoying fast also such few loot for so many raiders. Classic needs a lot of fixes before it will be full on good quality. Not to mention warriors and rogues are the only dps classes pretty much, while mages are farming machines that print gold. Alot of it goes back to the players too, they’ve corrupted everything that is good about wow classic
I’d just add, unless you’re are actively trying to parse speed runs every week then the list are largely not needed. You can clear 50 minute MC with no consumes and just world buffs.
GFPP is never needed in moltencore or Onyxia. The regular one is fine.
LIPS are only for melee uptime on some trash mobs. The time saved is minimal.
Roid is not needed at all.
Mighty rage potion is only huge for tanking.
Flask is only needed for tank.
you don’t need bandages for MC ever.
Sapper charges aren’t needed.
OP is throwing gold out the window and crying about it.
This is a self licking icecream cone. Swipers feed the bots who farm the world to death and make everything too expensive and scarce for people to just go get it themselves. Just sayin.
Some of this is farmable. I would definitely attempt to gather and craft whatever I can to stock up if I were to do this. Super boring and much easier to just buy it but the point is that the cost could be lower.
For me, the added expense to shorten a farmed raid by even 30 minutes is not worth it. The juice is not worth the squeeze.
If the whole thing of your guild was to set speed/parse records that makes some sense. In my experience what adds the most time to a raid is loot distribution and people not being ready to go at all times.
If this is how you enjoy playing more power to you, but it is gonna be expensive and not sure Blizzard can or should do anything about it.
They swipe (most common). 2. They play the game a lot so they generate enough that way. 3. They play the game a little but generate a lot of gold in that time (playing AH, mage boosting, selling summons with a ton of accounts, etc). This is also why they prefer GDKP; I’ve found there is a pretty strong correlation with players in this bracket and GDKP advocates.
Raiding is as accessible as it can be. Given your apparent skill level and that of your guild, you don’t need to be dropping 500g a week to clear MC. You are putting these restraints on yourself; the game has nothing to do with this mentality.
