How would you feel about a system where warlocks, shadow-priests, mages (and maybe paladins at some point) have to “empty” their cosmic corruption on a weekly basis or else suffer de-buffs which does stack and wont go away unless “cleansed” and can be done in your class hall as they are the most potent connection to the cosmic realms. Even though we can use their powers maybe they should be harmful to an extent. We’ve seen the light try to dominate and we’ve seen what fel did to Illidan.
How about no
That would be awful for the vast majority of players. You can’t put a maintenance mechanic in the game purely for RP reasons with a punishment for not participating. On top of that, some players, like myself, do not like RP, and would be resentful for this having been done.
Obviously not.
No.
This is a very MHP post.

Says the mdim!
Sounds about as fun as the old experience of hunters needing to go to the auction house every day or two to be able to function. Hard pass.
So you want to add a punishment system for a select few classes and specializations with no benefits to balance it out?
Why only them? Your paladin is corrupting the environment with excessive holy magic. Your lizard wizard is corrupting the environment with excessive order magic. Dks death magic. Get in the bath!
Lol no xD
Maybe a toy for RP purposes but otherwise lol no
Forcing that kinda stuff on players really only works if say. Its like. I dunno. Silent Hill 4. Where the game really wanted players to adopt certain behaviors shut ins eventually develop. Routines and all that. That stuff was baked right into the gameplay ( the constant need to go back to your apartment to manage inventory and all that. Or peeking in on neighbors )
WoW ain’t got that nor should it really
Teaching people how to orb corruption in horrific visions was like me teaching rocket surgery to a gaggle of giraffes.
