Be clear. Mythic+ LFR, what is this content. WQ? I’m not seeing it because it is based on some algo based on existing iLvl which is BS
what would you even do with more powerful equipment? get more “ooohs” from idling in a capitol city?
wow is 100% transmog focused because there’s no such thing as leveling or world pvp anymore. the type of gear you get is only useful its in its own separate box. pvp gear, only useful in instanced pvp, raid gear only useful in instanced raids, outside of that, with no threat of danger in the open world, gear is purely cosmetic and everything you do to get gear is simply to make it easier to get different gear. theres simply no point to gear.
i flipped back to classic today and had a rogue at level 31… it took me like 5 hours to get to 33 with several long walks from SW to gadgetzan and ratchet. it’s task oriented with 1000s of choose your own path tasks to do along the way. it’s way more rewarding than end game only - where you complete everything in 4 weeks and wait 5 additional months to get something new
Making it into LFR or dungeons?, that alone is why this game is going to die.
What would you do with an excavator IRL. How about a small dozer? I can tell you, nothing.
In reality, my gear irl MAKES YOUR “aCHIEVEMENTS” LOOK LIKE A COFFEE STAIN"
So if it’s not your cup of tea it should just be eliminated and the resources shifted to customizing gameplay that better suits “your cup of tea”?
Seems legit.
i … have no idea what any of that means
All that “powerful equipment” means little if ya look like ya lost a fight with a dresser before walking out the door.
Personally I love my monster hunter like geddup and will be making my armor look like this until either something else I like more comes along or I want to do something for RP . . . so yea . . .
struts off
Seems to be more energy devoted to paper doll and cosmetics… That is all… If you like it, indulge.
Lol you should read what you wrote and apply it to yourself child
Gross. What is that supposed to convey? Beware of a NCMEC complaint.
Child does not apply, Douche
Oh, it’s really does. Enjoy your vacation
Classic is a hard mistress, and I loved her. Now, I can’t say what WoW feels like without being censored,
The vacation has been nice, but I’ve never worked harder. When you retire on acreage, maybe you’ll understand if you get the opportunity.
Please Note that it may cut into your WoW time, bandwidth and costs.
I think the Adventure journal could do a better job overall. Some elements of discovery I think are important to keep. Like in the past, discovering a quest with a powerful reward that you felt could be legitimately the first time any of your guildmates and friends knew it exists. Though this isn’t necessarily limited to new gear upgrades, that initial sense of “ohoh? these stats are insane” is such a great feeling. (It’s also why II think most single-player and indiie games are so well-received.)
I think all the breadcrumbs are there for Cobalt Assembly in particular, including a flgiht path. I think if Elemental Storms were highlighted a bit more than just in the pre-patch it would be been better for the content system.
I am truly amazed ar the amount of feedback on this, especially since I foumd another almost idetical topi, when this one was demoted. after 5 minutes. Strange, but when this post was way down the list, it became obvious that it was active,
The outcome for me, is that all the people that like cosmetic rewards are vain and Ferris Pilton like, other really do like the Paper Doll of T-Moggs. I use them also when Heirlooms are ugly, but that’s rarely.
IMO T-Mogg sets are nothing more than Tabards . Look how easy that was, after all, we are talking software, digital asset older than the hills, and the abilities to “RESKIN” them at will. (We/Blizzard/Activision/Microsoft own the underlying assets after all) and you own nothing except the bits that define your toon… Thanks for you monthly subscription consumer.
I grew up in Hollywood CA, so I understand… I left that world ages ago, found real wealth in land and how to work it, while Hollywood diminishes the value of the farmer. I will not starve, but Whole Foods may not get their next shipment from me.
Real goods v Virtual.
I enjoy the cosmetics in this game. I don’t enjoy them because I’m “preening like a peacock.” I enjoy them because I like making my character look the way I want her to. I like having cute pets and cute mounts and matching outfits that go with my own head canon.
I don’t care if anyone else sees it or notices. I mean, back pre-mog when people had nothing to do but stand around in IF until a group got formed, having your T2 on display was a preen, but nowadays? I mean, someone can look just like me at level 20 wearing questing greens.
You don’t have to crap on someone else’s good time to have a different idea of what a good time looks like.
If you don’t care about the cosmetic side of the game, that’s fine. Find a part of the game you do like and do that, instead. My cute green and brown turtleneck chest doesn’t keep you from pushing your WQ rewards to a higher ilvl or from working PvP rating or completing your professions for crafted gear upgrades and recrafts.
Like…who put vinegar in everyone’s cheerios today? I don’t get it. People all over GD are just determined to be grumpy and mean today.
It isn’t shallow to be more interested in pursuing transmog than gear upgrades; if anything the reverse is true usually.
Transmog lasts forever. I have a set that I use on all of my priests—one that I came up with and put together using pieces from various expansions going back to WotLK, so it’s not a bunch of pieces that were designed to be used together in the first place like a tier set—and I mostly haven’t changed it since Legion, although recently I found that the priest conquest shoulders look incredible with it. Ilvl upgrades last a few months at most generally
Apparently you have absolutely no understanding of game design and coding. I can assure you by way of comparison technical art design encompasses far less resources than game and system design, engineering, etc.
Comparing TBC era WoW to today there is still far more attention to systems and gearing than cosmetics. Your rant is a poorly thought out complaint at best.
