The reason people collect things or don’t, is different person to person. To those who were drawn to exclusivity then yes I suppose the current influx is a negative. But to people who didn’t care before, guess what, they still don’t care. My collections has always been full of things I won’t ever use but got anyway. All that has changed is we now have more of those. Big deal.
The rare or the hard to achieve mounts still have the whiff of exclusivity about them to those who are interested and aware of it. I am always envious of gladiator mounts I see out and about as that is totally outside my achievable skill set.
And I disagree that we have too many armor sets. Recolours of the same armor sets extends mix and match options but doesn’t in any way replace some of the most iconic sets we’ve had over the years.
