Yo I’m tryna get my ashrajakakakkahtbdhajsjfb whatever cape of resolve the wrath ion dragon cape u know, but I had to gear up to fight the 8.3 mobs Bc they hit hard, u know? So I did some world quests and what not to gear up a bit bit now my corruption level is like 1 million my character is literally glowing red BRO, u know? I can’t hit the enemy one time without without like a pink version of me running up to me and exploding and DESTROYING my health, it’s called like a thing from beyond u know? So I’m like “bruh” I don’t have any alternative gear it’s literally impossible to do the cloak quest chain to CLEANSE this corruption if my gear already has so much corruption I can’t even quest because the corruption is DRAINING my health, u know? So what do I do? My character is glowing red and now I take like 30% increases damage and get less healing too. Should I go to the auction house or like grind it out and man up and stuff and just struggle with it
Not a fan of corruption either. I opted to deliberately ignore it but they sneakily snuck corruption into emissary gear.
Grumble, grumble.
Buy some crafted gear to replace the corrupted slots. The 8.3 mobs hit harder but just try to take them in small groups or one at a time and it shouldn’t be too much trouble. I’ve gotten the cloak a couple times now on alts in the 380-390 ilvl range, one freshly boosted and one freshly leveled, so it is doable. But yes replace that corrupted gear as best you can, at least to get below 40 corruption, the slow and eyeball are easy enough to deal with.
If you don’t try to force your way through, and proceed carefully, you can do the cape quest line. And you can get a few tokens (150) at the end by going into the insanity portal. the first rank of buffs is 100 tokens (you need that) which leaves you 50 or so to cleanse items of corruption. I’d use anything that keeps you under 20 corruption, I like to run about 25-29, it’s not too bad. Then you can do invasions and get more. Tough at first, but you can get there.

As for your corruption problem, u need to equip non corrupted gear until you have asufficient resistance and can cleanse less desirable effects
