Can we just try it the way it used to be w/ currency gained to upgrade gear?
Is this supposed to be similar to how Path of Exile and Diablo have “red” stats on some of their gear. Essentially the same system as what is proposed to replace TF. I don’t like those systems in those games…
Are the Diablo devs still a major contributing factor to retail, weren’t they transfered or something in dec. 2018 to retail?

But RNG is a part of MMO’s. People on here complain about literally everything, they get something new in corruption that is going to last one patch, and more freaking out.
I agree it’s a part of MMOs, but you can’t help but see how stupid this is. I didn’t mind titanforging to be honest, but a lot of people disliked it. Blizzard then proceeds to add another layer of randomness with corruption along with sockets, stats, etc, and says it’s their alternative to TF. Do you not see how stupid this is? I would’ve been fine if they left it the same, but no let’s further complicate things for everyone, even casuals.

I don’t understand the whole concept of warforging, titanforging etc, still new to wow and might not stick around, what is the purpose of this entire things?
I agree to extent. All MMOs have RNG for dps and whether a piece of gear drops.
Not whether the gear drops, whether it becomes corrupt, how good the effect is, and how little corruption the item has. From my understanding after reading MMO that will all come into play when rolling. If thats true, that’s ridiculous.
I don’t mind the actual effects.
Stupid, maybe, but at least they are trying new things out and new ideas. I can’t fault them there. I liked the concept of this, it makes you feel like Fable in a way except without the choices. 
Yea, it is. RNG for loot. Get the loot(maybe) put it on and enjoy. Not RNG for a piece of loot with a RNG chance for extra stats or a socket or a RNG chance for it to be vastly better than the base level with now a RNG chance for corruption for a RNG stat value of the RNG corruption on the piece of RNG loot.
Also im with others. I don’t care about the actual effects of the corruption.
This idea is not new. Only new to WoW.
They should try something else as this “corruption” system is not exciting in the other games they are found in
I hope they change their minds, this system seems like a bad idea. This expansion has tried several new systems and has failed with all of them… please take us back to something we all enjoy.
I know I am not in the modern loop and all but can someone please explain what the hell exactly is titanforging and why it sounds like such a headache? It feels like with all of the horror being said about it that I should stay away from Mythics and such and hope something else opens up at end game that takes my time. No offense to those who enjoy it but really kind of wondering is all.
They were probably hoping that you’ve been too busy doing Pathfinder, farming AP, farming essences, or farming TF to play other games and realize this isn’t a new idea 
Titanforging is RNG chance for loot to be better up to a certain point. If you have a ilvl 400 piece is what the dungeon drops it can titan forge to a certain ilvl above it’s base so it has better stats and in some cases extra stats(avoidance, leech,) or a gem socket. This in turn can take a piece of loot from a normal raid and turn it into a piece on par with a heroic raid(or maybe even mythic).
It’s just a big turn off for people because they run mythic and end up with a 445ilvl piece while someone ran a heroic raid and ended up with a 450 piece with a socket.
It just screws up people looking to min/max when they know a piece can titanforge and be at it’s best for them pushing high content and it doesnt.
That’s my take anyways.
The cap is the maximum cap for all loot. An emissary that drops ilvl 370 can TF into a 455 piece of gear. It is EXTREMELY rare for this to occur. But it is technically possible. More often you’re seeing TF’s of +15 or +20 instead. So a heroic piece (430) can be on par or better than a mythic piece (445).
Corruption takes this whole thing to a new level with random affix’s, random affix percentages, and random deficit amounts. So instead of 1 additional layer of RNG with TF, we’ll now have 3 more levels of RNG, on a system that already has 5 levels of RNG.
For some people they don’t like people doing “lesser” content getting good rewards - Not me.
For others (me) they don’t like doing “lesser” content themselves and then getting rewards replacing content that actually took a lot of effort to do. Makes me question why I even care about gear in the first place, and in the end nowadays… I’m just completely apathetic to gear, which is… sad.
I don’t know how many times this has to be said in these threads. I feel like I’ve had to say it for years now…

RNG on RNG on RNG on RNG on RNG (current system) - Not fine.

Did it drop? Did it corruption? Which corruption affix? How much of that corruption affix? How much corruption deficit? Did it socket? Did it avoidance? Did it leech? - WTF BLIZ…
Okay, I wasn’t sure. I thought titan forging had a cap on how far it could forge.
I’m not on the higher end of content anymore but I can understand not wanting to run every version of a raid hoping the stuff titanforges or now in this case corrupts.
Yeah…I cannot argue with you on that. Feels weird to get good equipment from daily WQ/WB drops and am almost at 400 ilvl now. My last really big expansion I was a part of was Wrath and I strictly remember that if I wanted good gear loads above what I got I went raid/dungoen/bgs/rated/etc. Oh well, fun to be found somewhere else and if need be I can always unsub and come back at a later date if I am unhappy… Thank you guys for the info.
Titanforging is literally just a low random chance for your gear to be a much higher ilevel than it should be. So instead of getting a piece of 405 gear, you could get a 430 instead.
This is their way of punishing players.

Ya, I am not liking this Corruption System either. I feel it makes me have too think too much. I don’t know if its good or bad or what I’m supposed to do. After patching and going on Google to do some research, i guess you can purify items, to not get some kind of negative effect. I don’t know what happens if I don’t purify things. I don’t what happens if i don’t care to purify. I don’t know if I can have some corruption or some not corrupted items. I don’t know if there is a strategy to come out ahead by attaining some secret percentage * 50% of your IQ. I don’t know it’s better to do one thing or another. I’ve never been so confused in my life. Frankly, this kinda pissed me off and makes me want say F**K this stupid crap. Maybe Amazon’s New World release in May 2020 will save me. I’m not trying to be derogatory or put this creative idea down… It’s just that it complicates things and makes me not want to play wow.
