Blizzard. I have received 47 pieces of loot since patch launch. I am 12/12 N and 12/12H. Rank 7 cloak. Done every vision and assault. I have received 5 azerite pieces of loot from my visions that I dont need. I have yet to receive a single non bulit-in corruption item. I remember when you posted that some characters are not getting corruption gear and I think that is still the case with my Character. This is absurd and the worst gearing has ever felt in the game. Today as I am writing this I have been running +6 Mythic + all day long Im on dungeon 31 … and still not a single piece of corruption on an item that didnt have it built in to the drop. I have seen everyone in the group but me get corruption. This needs to be looked into. Im a player of 15 years and am seriously considering quitting the game.
UPDATE WEEK 3: Over 100 Mythic + dungeons a second 12/12 Heroic and Normal reclear and 3/12 Mythic and STILL 0 corrupted proc on drops
Week 4: No corruption drops during Heroic Clear or 1st 3 Mythic bosses. Did both caches … all azerite again. Did 2 Visions 3 zones and again no corruption gear. I will keep updating this weekly to call out Blizzard on this BS system. Still not a single corruption proc on drop … not even a bad one.
Week 5: 5/12 M - Thx blizzard I got my first piece …Im ilvl 472 Equipped and i got a 430 piece from a vision! At least I know my character inst broken but you also gave me a ranged EV rank2 in my mythic + cache after the nerf. Luckily im a top end player and can keep up with the rank 3 infinite stars your giving all of the other boomys in my guild. Dedicated players to this game will be sat over RNG … but not me. Your idea of bridging the gap is actually hurting us top end raiders and its making me sick to the point where I want to quit playing your game.
If you do quit can I have your stuff? You probably have a lot saved up over 15 years and I promise to give most of it back when you come back in shadow lands
Are you also doing Wq’s and the dailies in the corrupted areas? Ive gotten 4 pieces just from that alone. On my alts Ive gotten at least 1 or 2 just from wq’s.
My team of lower ilvl alts without cloaks has gotten 3 pieces of corrupted gear from world content, including 2 from emissaries and 1 from a faction invasion. Utter rubbish.
I don’t raid. I’ve only been doing WQs to gear up the alts, and the new 8.3 quests on only my main.
So far they all have corrupted gear except my Horde Hunter. Nothing.
Having said that, I’m not sure it’s worth the repair bills.
Sure it has cool cosmetic effects, but I’m dying more due to the bad parts, and don’t seem to be doing more DPS or killings things faster to make them worth it.
Obviously your mileage may vary, and I have to admit it’s a fun concept.
I’ve gotten all but one from WQs or Emissary caches. The other piece was from the initial kill 100 things in Uldum.
It’s just another layer of rng, another way for what ought to be a useful piece of gear to be unusable.
For me, the 2 corrupted emissary pieces my low ilvl alts got had the worst possible stats on them (only suitable for a different spec), corruption, and a corruption trait that increased the worst possible stat. It was like a triple whammy.
I’m not using any of the corrupted gear I’ve gotten on my alts. If I got something that actually looked interesting I’d put it in the bank in case that toon ever got the cloak.
I’d love to trade you. My 120s have all gotten pieces of corruption gear from WQs and Emissaries. I don’t raid at all (not even LFR yet, but I will eventually to get the quests out of my log). I haven’t gotten my cloak yet on any of them, as I have time. I don’t need corruption effects, no matter how nice they are. I’d give em all to you if I could.
99% sure you have a piece with void ritual… As for other pieces than that, RNG is RNG. I wouldn’t sweat it too much though, all of the OP traits are going to be nerfed tuesday anyways.
RNG doesn’t give a rat’s (you know what) about your “seniority” as a WoW player. It will screw you over just like it would a first day player. You would think after 15 years, you would already knew that.
Im not asking for for a hand out for my seniority. Im asking for the drop rate to be increased or someone to look into why IM not getting any. I put in 14 hours of dungeons yesterday. Im now awake at 7 am to put in another 14 hours of dungeons on my last off day so that Im not sat on Mythic Progression next week because everyone on our main roster has corruption worth a damn but me.
