Sorry if this isn’t the best place to put this but it’s annoying. My character went from something like 30 corruption (I cleansed an item) and she’s now down to 15 corruption. But all the sudden my character has the terrible corruption effect. Why is it I didn’t have it with higher corruption, but I have it now?
I only have one corrupted item, stars on my gloves which gives 15.
Can’t tell why…your posting on a 110 alt, not your 120. Hiding something?
Yeah I can’t find my character in the character list. I faction changed her today so that’s probably why. That shouldn’t matter though, I explained what my issue was.

The corruption glow effect is supposed to get worse as you gain more corruption. It turns red at 80 corruption, foretelling your untimely death.
I understand how it’s supposed to work. The problem is I went from 30 corruption with no effect, down to 15 corruption, and now I have the effect.
The effect for “medium” corruption (range is something like 20-40) is bugged and doesn’t show. Blizzard mercifully hasn’t fixed it.

Ah okay, I think I have enough echoes to buy a small stat corruption… hopefully that will solve the problem. Thanks
This happened with my Paladin. I logged her out, logged an alt on, logged my Pally back in and the corruption effect had readjusted.

Oh, it definitely shows. It’s just very gentle. It’s practically invisible with a cloak though.
It worked! My corruption is at 30 and the effect is gone!

that and the game mechanics want you to be around 25-30 corruption so it not working there makes some sense.

I kind of prefer that they leave it as is. Most people run corruption in that range and it’s nice to not have to see it
